Oh no, he suggested we submit the application online on Monday, not the documents.
Submitting the application online is the submission date, that’s when the clock stops. Your solicitor saying to submit the application on Monday suggests that they too think you shouldn’t be doing the submission until you have the financial documents needed for the application.

If the documents are needed to count towards the 6 months, then, yes, they must be dated before the application is submitted. Because you have to show at least 6 FULL months of payslips and bank statements dated no later than the online application date.

You really need to have all the documents all ready to be submitted BEFORE you apply online.

In regards to the payslips and bank statements, if you submit the application tomorrow, on November 29th, you cannot count November's pay towards the financial requirement. However, you also cannot use the October payslip as the last one, because it will be dated more than 28 days before November 29th (it'll be dated October 30th) which will not meet the requirements.

So, you will not be able to apply online until AT LEAST December 1st, in order to make sure you have the latest payslip and bank statement dated within 28 days.

This means you will need:
- November 30th payslip
- November 26th bank statement AND a partial bank statement dated on or after November 30th, showing the November payslip deposit.

In total, that means you will need the following payslips and bank statements, for the 6-month period from May 31st to November 30th:
Payslips:
1. May 30th
2. June 30th
3. July 30th
4. Aug 30th
5. Sep 30th
6. Oct 30th
7. Nov 30th

Bank statements
1. May 27 -June 26th (showing transactions from May 27th-June26th)... it must explicitly cover the May payslip deposit
2. June 27 -July 26th
3. July 27 - Aug 26th
4. Aug 27 - Sept 26th
5. Sept 27 - Oct 26th
6. Oct 27 - Nov 26th
7. partial statement printed by the bank covering Nov 27-Nov 30th (or to present date if printed after Nov 30th) and showing the Nov payslip deposit

Ksand24, thank you so much for your time. This is very helpful!

Question:

If one has 4 or 5 full months of bank statements that they send out by mail (these ones are official), and then they print 1 or 2 months of online bank statements (which are the same exact ones you get if you walk-in to the branch) and then take them into the branch and have them stamped, does this suffice?

Thank you

Yes, you can do that.

Question:

Besides the bank statements and wage slips, do all other documents (such as: sponsor letter, parents letter for us living in their house, etc.) need to be dated? If so, are they required to be dated before the date of the application being submitted online? If so, should we date them all by hand when we sign them (by hand)?

Thank you all! I know my questions may seem very obvious, but we just want to confirm it with you before we fall into any mistake.

They do all need to be dated before the online application date.

However it’s only the latest bank statement, payslip and the employer letter that MUST be dated no earlier than 28 days before the application date. Other documents can be older than 28 days, but ideally you want them dated as close to the application date as possible (but not after it).

Your official application date is the date you submit the online application, and you must show that you meet all the requirements ON that date, so everything needs to be dated on or before the application date.

It seems everything will be dated just a few days or a day before application submission date. But I have been implementing the advice and hopefully all will be well. What a process!

Thank you!!

Question:

We submitted the appication once and then got a refund. UKVI refunded us. And we are waiting for IHS surcharge. We want to submit again tomorrow but the IHS hasn't been refunded yet. The account that my husband is showing in terms of wage slips and statements is one that currently holds an amount only enough to accomodate for the online application fee and not the IHS surcharge. As for the IHS surcharge, he was going to transfer that from another account into this account but this would not show up on the financial evidence.

Is there an issue with them seeing that we didn't have enough to pay for the surcharge in this account but somehow paid the surcharge anyway? I don't know if they will make an issue out of that.

Thank you,

That's not a problem.

Another question:

My husband has sent me money through my sister's PayPal account that shows her name, however, it is linked to only my card and my bank. Should he include screen shots of all of these fund transfers even though they show being sent to my sister's PayPal account (her and I have the same last name, minus my husband's last name which I added to mine)?

Thank you

No, you don’t need to include any evidence of funds being transferred at all.

What you need to show is regular communication between you and your husband (evidence that you talk to each other to show you know each other well), not evidence of money transfers... because money transfers do not prove a genuine romantic relationship (instead they could potentially imply a financial agreement between two strangers and not evidence of a genuine marriage).

SUBMITTING SOON. Any Experts that Can Look at My Supporting Docs List Please??
« Reply #28 on: December 02, 2019, 12:02:02 AM »
Hello everyone  :)

We have all our documents compiled (I hope!) and before I submit my application online, I would like a few expert opinions and suggestions please!! I apologize about it not being in order, I am not sure how to order them!

THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE:

-Online application

-Husband's (sponsor) 6 months of wage slips: from June 2019 to November 2019, dated every 30th of the month.

-Husband's bank statements: we have corresponding bank statements that came in the mail, starting 16th February till 15th October (We have extra, so will have to shorten by removing Feb, March, April, and possibly some of May), then we have 2 additional months printed at the branch and stamped for all of October and up to 29th November.

-Sponsor Letter

-Marriage Certificate

-Employment Letter (husband's)

-Certified copy of husband's/sponsor's bio page of passport as well certified copies of stamped pages - both dated 12th November (i.e., certified on this day)

-Timeline: of our relationship, to put things into perspective. We explained in here why we did not apply for the visa in the past 2 years and waited till now. Should we remove this bit completely?

-Property Report: Solicitor suggested to my husband to highlight my name (applicant) on the paper with a highlighter. Is this OK?

-Land Registry: we also included my husband's mother and father's bio page of passport since the house is under their name.

PROOF OF CONTACT:

-WhatsApp chat screenshots: about 2 full screenshots per month for the past 3 years.

-Personal photos: from our engagement, marriage, and trips.

-Online flight bookings: copies from online booking receipts, could not find any actual boarding passes

Is there anything missing? Anything we did wrong? I am hoping we can submit the application tonight if all sounds good!

Thank you so much for your help!!

What are the exact dates on the pay slips?

I'd take the timeline letter out. You can mention it briefly in the sponsor letter but why you decided not to apply 2 years ago is not relevant.

If living with family, a property inspection report is not required but since you have it, you might as well include it. Do not highlight your name.

You will need a letter of permission from your in-laws giving the two of you permission to live there.

For the relationship evidence, do you have any letters or cards you have sent each other? If so, include some of those. You've never lived together? Is WhatsApp the only way you have kept in touch? If you have used other methods, I'd include evidence of this too.

You will need to provide your passport and previous passports.

If either of you have been married before you need the divorce certificate.
