IRS Reforms Free File Program
« on: January 06, 2020, 06:38:43 PM »
I've always wondered why the IRS didn't have its own online filing system; it was prohibited from creating one.  And TurboTax excluded its required Free File offerings from search engines; very cheeky!  'We the People' have been rightly stitched-up all these years.  I wonder if the IRS will create its own online filing system now.

Thanks for this, it doesn’t surprise me at all.

The USA is owned by Corporations who pay large sums of money to Congress folks. This is in line with why the US post office can’t advertise its Priority One delivery service (it used to) which was taking too much business away from Fedex and UPS until they passed a law preventing advertising by the post office.  Too many oligopolies running the country.

It’s why Medicare can’t negotiate bulk purchases of drugs, a law passed by Congress to appease big Pharma when Medicare was expanded to include prescription drugs.
