Sponsor photo
« on: January 15, 2020, 05:52:43 PM »
Hi everyone.
Just had a weird thought. I know the biometrics appt now takes your photo, so we don't have to submit passport photos anymore. But does anyone know what has happened to the requirement to include your sponsor's photo? Or has ILR never required it?
I have not heard anything about sponsor passport photos on here, and its not on the application checklist... Although we know they leave quite a few things off of the checklist.
I've got my enhanced appt tomorrow at 11 and the website says that this includes document scan.. So if need be, we can drop by a supermarket  or post office to get some right before.

You do not need a sponsor photo.

The biometrics appointments have taken your photo for over a decade, so really the applicant passport photo hasn’t been needed for years, but we kept sending them because the form said so.

With the introduction of the online application, they finally decided that it was no longer a requirement to send either an applicant or a sponsor passport photo.
