Cute, but in reality their situations aren't even close to equivalent.

It was meant as a bit of a joke. Although both situations are not really something to be seriously joking about. One person accidentally drives on the wrong side of the road killing a person, and the other possibly being guilty of some pretty dodgy behaviour with underage girls. I'd say both were crappy.......equivalent? Not sure which you think is worse.

Well, you could look at it as "tragic accident" vs "child molestation", or "poor driving skills" vs "practiced debauchery".  I guess.  ::)

None of which matters, since the parties in question are not going to be visiting the territories of the other party, ever.

Has anyone else but me noticed that they are dropping hints about "redeeming" Andrew?  Like how he's been so nice to his mom during this Harry and Meghan thing that maybe we should overlook a little child molestation.

Ewwwww.

Well, all the fuss about Meghan and Harry certainly took the spotlight off of Andrew, didn't it?

I still think Harry is brilliant for getting his wife and child away from the circus. I hope they have many happy years together, in peace.

I'd be a lot happier about it if he didn't take a suitcase full of our money with him.

I don't think Harry is the one making the decisions!  ;D

I agree, but cheers to him for being on her side.  Considering his upbringing, his support for her, against the family, is bold.

He's got a job, and he is ridiculously well paid.  Now he's telling us that he won't do that job anymore, yet still wants to benefit from the public purse.  I agree that he's bold, but not in a good way.

If you believe the royal family is chosen by God to be better than us and get a share of all our money, then he can't quit.  God says so.

If you believe that they exist as a tourist attraction, then he can't go to Canada and he must stay here and dance for us.

He can do whatever he wants, but he can't have our money if he's not dancing.

I admittedly don't follow it closely, so I'm not certain of this, but didn't they say in their initial shock statement that they no longer wanted to take taxpayer money?  I thought they wanted to stop dancing on demand and find their own way without the Royal purse.  Has the final result turned out different to what they wanted to do?
