ILR document spacing - double-check
« on: February 11, 2020, 08:02:00 PM »
Hi folks!

Our BRP expires early August, our first FLR(M) was issued early July 2015 so we're planning on applying mid June for ILR (I think this is right for the 28 days before 5 years rule).

Anyway, I wanted to check I wasn't going bananas with the different spacing. After looking around on the threads, I see these possible "blocks" for documents:

12 2017
05 2018
10 2018
03 2019
08 2019
01 2020
06 2020

11 2017
04 2018
09 2018
02 2019
07 2019
12 2019
05 2020

10 2017
03 2018
08 2018
01 2019
06 2019
11 2019
04 2020

09 2017
02 2018
07 2018
12 2018
05 2019
10 2019
03 2020

08 2017
01 2018
06 2018
11 2018
04 2019
09 2019
02 2020

I've included the seventh in each block to ensure the full range is covered. Is there any preferred range that you think might be better than another, or is it just a case of picking one with the "best" evidence in it (most varied sources, etc)? Would it matter which I picked, or would you just go for the first one (Dec 2017 through January 2020 (/June 2020)?

Thanks, and have a nice evening!

Good work!  :)

I like the fact you're using 7 periods as it makes for the best spacing.

I prefer the first or second blocks, either would be perfect.  And if you've got something coming in every month, such as a bank statement, you should be able to make it work easily.

Thanks larrabee!

We've always got something coming in every month to make sure (broadband bill and joint account statement). I'll rummage through the first and seconds blocks' months and see which has the "best" documents in :)

Hi folks,

I've been checking the documents here and for the first block larrabee suggested above, I've found the following in both names:

12 2017 - broadband bill (29th Dec)
05 2018 - broadband bill (30th May)
10 2018 - electricity bill (24th Oct), gas bill (24th Oct), broadband bill (30th Oct)
03 2019 - council tax bill (15th Mar), broadband bill (29th Mar), (also mobile phone plan statement, sponsor only, 7th Mar)
08 2019 - water bill (29th Aug, applicant title is Miss instead of Mrs - should this matter?)
01 2020 - broadband bill (30th Jan)

Nothing for June 2020 yet (for some reason!) - although the only things that regularly come in early in the month are bank statements (second week) - the broadband bill is usually the end of the month.

Questions:

1. The water bill has the applicant's title as Miss instead of Mrs - should this matter or is it just the name?
2. Would a bank statement not used as part of the financial evidence be alright to use for the June 2020 document? I think so but I want to triple-check!
3. Where there are multiple choices I've found, which would you use?

If everything's good I can get on and scan them now, so it's all ready for June :D

Thanks again!

1- Not an issue.
2-Yes.
3-I like the first one you have chosen for each.
