How long have I lived in the UK?
« on: March 14, 2020, 03:11:57 PM »
Just got to that question on the ILR forms. This current time in the UK it has been 4 years 11 months. But I previously lived here two different times for work totaling about 14 years (1980-87 + 2004-11) (almost 19 years total). Which do you put down?

They are after the 4 years 11 months answer there as it indicates the correct amount of time before applying for ILR. Feel free to mention the other two stays if you want to, in the any other info section.

Thanks.

I was also wondering about the info I put in a few questions earlier about family and/or friends back in the US. I put both my half-brothers down as family and then mentioned I had plenty of cousins etc. I have no idea how many cousins I have and am only in contact with a couple of them. I put down two people I used to work with under friends.....just occasional email contact. There isn't room to put too much anyway.

That's fine. This really only comes into play if they refuse the visa and are looking at the application on a human rights basis so it's almost always irrelevant.
