Just went to my local brewery for a spot of panic buying and got a %30 discount.  Good news for me, but bad news for the guy running the brewery who has big tanks of beer he can't sell.

Support your local breweries! One of our locals is doing an amazing pivot to allow for a "drive thru" service. You drive up, say what you want, they package and bring it out to you, and it's contactless payments where possible. Brewdog are doing the same where possible as well and including their food menu in this as well. A lot of steps the breweries are taking right now have been really impressive and innovative. Tiny Rebel is doing a virtual beer tasting for free on FB live! £12 for 6 beers (but annoyingly it's about £6 for shipping) and those 6 beers will be what they do the taste test for. Brewdog (and others) are also starting to use their facilities to make hand sanitisers because of the shortage.

I’ve just ordered some more beer ingredients , so I can foresee homebrewing whilst working, because most of the time it just needs sat either mashing, lautering, or boiling.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

Ive bought a book to learn to homebrew but now ive spent all my money on food and supplies so can't justify buying the kit to actually make the beer! Lol

Give me some details on that!  Alcohol or no alcohol?  Can't be low carb either

I feel like I need to make this clear as well, no poop related details!  That means you @phatbeetle  and @durhamlad and you as well Tami since I know you are itching to share

I have a ginger bug (fermented soda starter basically. Ginger, sugar and water) and I will be mixing the herb brew with the ginger bug. And since the yeast eats the sugar during the fermentation process, it is low carb enough for me to consume.

I also just started 2 new kombucha batches so I'll try some rootbeer kombucha as well.

Amazon UK for the herbs. I Googled several different recipes and took the most common herbs... sasparilla, sassafras, dandelion root, birch bark, licorice root and anise pods.

And making a ginger bug is ridiculously easy.

If my office shuts down for x number of weeks, I will basically be on holiday, since I have been asking for 2 years for a work laptop so that I could work from home, and they keep knocking me back.  They're probably wishing they'd handled that differently now!!  ;D

My plan is to sleep late every day, cuddle my hound, watch TV and drink wine.

And hopefully we'll see you around here a lot more?  :D

That would be my first personal positive!  ;D

More details please!  What recipe are you using and did you have to order all the herbs seperately?
