Hey @nctami72 , I hope you don't mind but me and my boy want to make this our new project.  Could you send me the links to the spices?  I'm looking on Amazon but I'm just finding 100g for £18 on most of this stuff.  I can't afford a batch of root beer that costs £75!

I have a ton of the sassafras and sasparilla. Figure out how much you need and I will send you some.

Anise pods are available just about anywhere.

I'm also planning a strawberry vanilla soda.

Okay, remind me of this moment....

It’s the eve before my first day as a stay-at-home mom who home educates.  I’m looking forward to it?  I’ve always been soooooooo career focused that it’s kind of awesome that I’m going to have this time with my children.

I suspect I’ll be over it this time tomorrow.  But right now, I’m looking forward to the pivot!

We just got back to Yorkshire after 3 weeks in Edinburgh looking after my wife’s sister who has had open heart surgery. By the time she was strong enough to walk down the hill to the village centre social distancing was in place and the 2 coffee shops had closed. So, our daily routine of going to a coffee shop, and also eating breakfast or lunch out 2 or 3 times a week has been curtailed. We both got weighed today and my wife has lost 5lb while I have lost 10lb.  :D

Lowest weight I have been since 2001!!  Time to walk around to our local butcher and get some meat pies.

My husband was just instructed to stay out of work until further notice because he lives with a "vulnerable person" (me!).  We are feeling so very relieved right now.

We will remain separated by plastic sheeting for at least another 10 days, because he was in the office on Saturday and still in the possible incubation period.  But we will be feeling a lot better about things once we're sure he's not sick and I didn't get sick.  In an abundance of caution, my husband has said he might want to keep up with the separation further, anyway, because he'll still be getting groceries and supplies for us.  He will be shielding me.  :)
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

My co-worker is sleeping on the job. He looks like a half sprinkle donut.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

My other co-worker kept pacing and borking at me so I opened the back door and she is sleeping on the job as well... Just in the sun.
