I have a ton of the sassafras and sasparilla. Figure out how much you need and I will send you some.

Anise pods are available just about anywhere.

I'm also planning a strawberry vanilla soda.

If you are sure you've got enough, that would be great.  The recipe I'm using calls for 1/2 cup dried sassafras bark and
1/2 cup dried sarsaparilla root.  You still have my address?

How much is that by weight?

I didn't realise how much I ordered and you actually get quite a bit by weight. Lol

It should be 285 g dried sassafras bark and 100 g dried sarsaparilla root
I'm going to look into ordering some from US amazon as well since some relatives bought me gift cards that have been useless until now.  Anything special you need?

My husband was just instructed to stay out of work until further notice because he lives with a "vulnerable person" (me!).  We are feeling so very relieved right now.

We will remain separated by plastic sheeting for at least another 10 days, because he was in the office on Saturday and still in the possible incubation period.  But we will be feeling a lot better about things once we're sure he's not sick and I didn't get sick.  In an abundance of caution, my husband has said he might want to keep up with the separation further, anyway, because he'll still be getting groceries and supplies for us.  He will be shielding me.  :)

The government giveth, and the government taketh away.  They've walked this back, and he does have to turn up to work.  There will be no respite for the foreseeable future.  But as long as we maintain my isolation, I continue to be safe.  It's just disappointing that we will have to be extra diligent.

That is perfectly fine. I'll have plenty.

Message me your address again. I have it written down but since I moved I have no idea where that piece of paper is.

It's disappointing, but it was only a few hours of hope that got dashed.  It wasn't a new door closing.  My husband has been particularly annoyed/down about it, but he dreads going into the office around all the (potential) disease so he was excited about not having to go in.  I was just thinking of 2 weeks from now when we wouldn't have to be so paranoid.  And it could still change to him staying home at any time... *fingers crossed*

I haven't had Sobe's urine tested since August.  That was before we went on our summer holiday.  I "needed to know" he was healthy when I left so I wouldn't worry about him.  Noticed no change in his behaviour on return, so didn't test his urine again as planned.

Then we were gone for about a week at Christmas and just over 2 weeks in February.  I decided I needed to get his urine checked again.

Got up this morning (he's my little shadow) and he beat me into the guest room where the box is.  I shooed him away and changed it for the special litter.  He darted in as soon as I was done and had done his morning wee.  Collected it and took it to the vet straight away.

Got the call this afternoon and his urine was PERFECT.  Like absolute perfection.

As it's been over 18 months since his blood work diagnosing kidney disease, we are going to repeat the bloods this Wednesday (well, if we can).  The first time he had his blood work, we tested his urine AFTER and found the UTI.  So as he has no UTI, I'm hopeful that the bloods will be good numbers.

Yes, I lost my job.  Yes, I need to be budgeting now more than ever.  But I will forego a lot of things (if necessary) to ensure my kitty lives his best life.

Paws crossed for AWESOME blood work on Wednesday.   [smiley=antlers.gif]   <---- that's the only animal emoji we have.   ;D

We (colleague and I) suggested virtual pub lunch for out team via TEAMS for Friday so we can have a beer together at lunch and chat about non work stuff for an hour or so. Quite excited to see how that will work but people in our team seemed keen :)

I'm so grateful for the beautiful sunshine, a large (in my eyes) back garden, and lots of toys for my kids to play on and with.  The vitamin D this morning has definitely lifted my spirits.   :D
