I just got an email response from UKVI today:

I've been waiting around all day...wouldn't let my DH go out to smoke while I was in the shower, just in case. Logged onto their system and they've changed the delivery to Monday. URGH. Why did they give Saturday as an option, if it wasn't?!

Annnnnd I just watched the guy walk up to the door and post it through the mail slot. Didn't knock, didn't have to sign for it. Why couldn't he do that 3 weeks ago?

Literally watched through the window, jumped up, expecting a knock, and heard him push it through to slot.

Well at least I have it now, yay!

They were most likely not approved for contactless deliveries 3 weeks ago.

Ahhhh, that's a very good point that I didn't think of thank you. I just went online and the delivery person signed for it himself (I assume).
