I've just received the hospital letter
It has "Parent/Guardian of (sons name) followed by the address?
That'll do won't it?  He's under 2 so I doubt they will address the letter directly to him.

No, that's fine. It has his name and it has his address on it.

You can always include the other letter from 2019 as well, just to show it's still the case that he's at the same address.

Aha! That's a good idea. Will include that and mention it in the cover letter. I didn't think of that.

I just need to be careful when uploading the documents, so many people have mentioned this"submit" button they've clicked after uploading a few and not all documents which have effectively locked them out from uploading the rest of the docs.

Ooooh yeah!!! Application submitted and IHS payment made, printed out receipts and confirmations also for the application itself!
Now for the uploading of documents - can someone locate me to the correct place to sign up and start uploading these documents?
This is where I am at the moment with the application.

It asks me to "Attend an appointment to provide your documents and biometrics by 21 October 2020"Is it a matter of myself keep on checking when an appointment is available? If the appointment is a paid for appointment, how do I opt-in to the app so I don't have to shell out £110 for an appointment?
Thank you @ksand24 and @larrabee for the support you have given me - you absolute beauties!

Another question - for the optional documents which ones do I need to provide?
What does Life events have to do with the application? I think I may need some guidance here. This has left me slightly confused.

Go with what you know you need to submit from your own list, don't let that list put you off.

I think I'm going to start scanning and uploading over the weekend now - I'm not doing this with a tired & worn-out brain.

I'll do my best to get what documents I have into those sections. Then I can stop stressing over this application. I'm nearly there, finally some light at the very long & unpredictable tunnel.

You need to register on the UKVCAS website - you should be sent a registration code by email after submitting the application.

You will not be allowed to book an appointment yet, because only people who applied before July 31st have been contacted to let them know whether they need to attend an appointment or whether they are eligible to use the app.

UKVI will contact you by email in the next few weeks to let you know how to proceed: whether you are required to book an appointment or if you can use the app instead.

Don't worry too much about the October 21st date - as you may not be able to book an appointment/submit using the app by then. People who applied several months ago are only just now being able to book appointments for September.

Several of those document sections will not be relevant to you, so you just leave them blank and don't upload anything for them.

The sections you do NOT need to use are:
- Proof of Business
- Medical Information
- Life Events
- Sponsors/Employment
- Educational

So, you just need to upload documents to the following sections:

Proof of Application
- Applicant's passport
- signed declarations/consent forms

Proof of Identity/Travel History
- Sponsor's UK passport
- Applicant's BRP card

Finances
- all your financial requirement documents

Residence in the UK
- Accommodation Evidence
- 6 items of correspondence/cohabitation

Other
- cover letter
- marriage certificate
- any divorce decrees
- child's UK passport
- child's birth certificate
- child's proof of address letter
- any other documents you are including

Thank you - what a legend! That nails it. Why can't they just employ you to sort the online processes out? You do a better job than them!
