Miserable here!  ;D

Though was somewhat clear tonight.  Looked for the meteor shower but no joy.

We're still in double digit highs.  But I looked ahead as far as BBC weather will show me, and I see some days with lows around 1 or 2 and highs around 5 toward the end of the forecast window.  I'm sorry I looked.  I've been enjoying this really mild weather.  Wehave daisies in our lawn!  In November!

We moved here in November 2016, and my first week alone in this house, before Internet or phone service, my husband off to Salisbury for his job, etc., we had ice and snow flurries.  All I had was an electric fan heater and an electric shower in a bathroom without a light because that broke right after we moved in (of course).  No kitchen, no boiler... it was cold and dark and lonely.

Now I have my husband all the time (he even quit going out to the garden shed office, unless he has a meeting), we have our far infrared heating panels and ElectroCloud, and utilikitchen... plus, our resident magpies for entertainment.  Life is so much better than it was 5 years ago.  I just wish those first few weeks had been weather like I have now, rather than that bitter freezing cold that 2016 gave me.

I'm glad things are better!  :)

In desperate (and not so desperate!) times, a kettle and a few hot water bottles go a long way to making things feel a lot better!

ElectroCloud is my dry hot water bottle.  It's a heated mattress pad.  My husband and I each have our own zone so we can set our own temps, or turn it off if we get too warm.  I love ElectroCloud.  :)

Are you?!?!
I've not seen any raspberries, but our brambles dried up really quickly this year... before I ever got a chance to pick a bucket.  I mean, I had the odd 3 or 4 while dog-walking each day, but not my usual haul.  :(
Never got any windfall apples, either  >:(

Yes!  :) I'm growing Joan J. They are primocane raspberries and they give two crops. One earlier in the year and one in the Autumn.  :)

Be safe if you're affected by this crazy wind!

I hope so too. I know the North East was badly affected.  I've been wondering if she and Rick are caught up in the power outage.

I  think we were very lucky.  A lot of little twiggy branches blown down and a few plant pots blown over but we're going to have to wait until it rains to see if there was any damage to the roof!
