Starting June 22, new biometric appointment bookings will be possible! It will be available in the order you submitted your application to UKVCAS.

Here's exactly what it says on the site:

Updated: 19 June 2020

Making progress

We’re doing everything we can to offer as many appointments to as many people as possible. From Monday 22nd June 2020 onwards, we’ll be releasing more appointments, adding new service points and opening the booking system to more customers in phases based on registration dates.

Taking a phased and organised approach

In order to be fair to everyone, we are now opening up the booking system in date order starting with people who registered with UKVCAS before the 27th March but did not have an appointment. We are working from the earliest to the most recent registrations as we think this is the fairest and best approach to take. If you are one of these customers, you will have an email from us on the 21st or 22nd of June asking you to book an appointment. The email will have full instructions about next actions.

We submitted out application today and no appointments at all - no option for the £800 service either which was a real shame. I guess we're going to have to wait this out, hard.

UKVI gave a deadline of having the biometrics done by August. I hope there's a protocol in place for if there aren't any appointments by then! :(

Looks like I won't be able to do my biometrics until after July 20. They have the list of anticipated opening times up now.

This doesn't bode well. We applied on the 20th June, the application says we have to file the biometrics within two months or else ... something?

I'm not sure what on earth we would do if we can't? This is ILR, and what was going to be a next-day thing for us is now an interminable wait. Not entirely sure my stress levels can handle this. :|

They will make allowances if the biometrics centres haven't caught up by then! Don't worry about that until its closer to the time and follow up with your MP if timings haven't been updated.

It's really not an issue.

There are people who applied in March, whose visas expired months ago, who are still waiting for biometrics.

You will get your biometrics appointment when you get it, and there's nothing to worry about. Your application will not be affected.

See here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-advice-for-uk-visa-applicants-and-temporary-uk-residents

From that page:
Quote
Your immigration status in the UK will not change as a result of you not being able to attend an appointment.

They have also relaxed the requirements for FLR(M) and ILR applications if your circumstances have been affected due to Covid.

We applied May 14th so we will have a bit of a wait as well.  My understanding is that we should get an email asking us to make an appointment once they reach our application date.  We were going to do expedited processing as my husbands father is 96 and we never know when we may have to travel back to the US in a hurry  but now we just have to prey nothing happens. will be so glad once we can do citizenship and be totally done with all this.

God forbid you do need to travel in an emergency and are awaiting for an appointment I would strongly agree to contact your MP as a matter of urgency, mine was absolutely exceptional during the initial spousal visa application process.

Thanks for the reassurances :) I'll keep an eye on the email and try not to fret too much. Much as others, we would have preferred priority for a whole raft of reasons, but it is what it is!

I'll be interested to see when Kezzie62 gets an appointment as we're about a month after you, so I guess that would give some sort of timeline :) also interested to hear if Sopra are inviting appointments to people's nearest centres or if it is pot luck.

I submitted my application online on April 15 and I have not yet had the email inviting me to book an appointment...

On May 27, I got one email from a Home Office employee, saying they had received my application but were delayed due to Covid. That's all it said.
On June 19, I got another email from the home office (FLRMDocuments@homeoffice.gov.uk) requesting that I send my marriage certificate and 2-year correspondence ("documentary evidence showing residence at same address as sponsor")  back via a reply to the above email address. I had already uploaded all docs at UKVCAS but also sent the requested docs back via email.

I have not had an email inviting me to make an appointment. :(

Hi all

We are (as of today) in the same boat.

Hopefully everyone will get their appointment shortly.

It is reassuring to know that there is other people going through the same thing.

I submitted my application on 29th March - a mere 2 days after the 27th March cut-off for the current batch of applicants whose appointments are being processed  :\\\'( - and will have to wait till the next batch to book and appointment, probably.

Will update here when I hear from them.
