Requirements-FLR
« on: June 15, 2020, 01:09:23 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all keeping well.

I am now at the point of extending my visa and while I’m trying to keep up with the document requirements from the various threads, I am a little lost on a few of the application questions.

Particularly those pertaining to my husband’s Children within the UK. One of his children lives with us and the other with his mother. I however do not understand the evidences that they are asking us to provide.

1. Proof of address for the child that lives with his mother

2. I’m required to list family members that they’d be able live with outside the UK in the case I cannot settle here... Am I interpreting this correctly? even if I was required to leave it wouldn’t impact them, they are British born children with a British born mother and a settled father.

3. I have a son of my own with my husband and the same is being asked for him. I can understand the questions related to him but to what extent do I need to list relatives abroad?

I would greatly appreciate any assistance that can be provided on these points. Thank you.

Ive got these same questions and now it's going into the whole bit about do we plan to live together permanently etc questions like from the first application. Mine also has only asked questions about the children who DONT live with us and aren't on the application as well as proof of where they live etc... I'm so confused. How the hell am i supposed to get a utility bill for my son's father in the US (son that doesn't live with me)? This makes no sense.

People have been fine just writing an explanation of why it was not possible to obtain.

Do we need to mention my husband's daughter on the application if she's over 18 and he doesn't provide support for her any longer? She doesn't live with us either.

No, you only need to mention dependent children under 18.

Thank you, we thought so, but the question didn't specify. ♥

Yeah, the online form is frustratingly vague. The old paper form used to specify it.

Great. Thank you. So in the part pertaining to relatives,  are you expected to list everyone or does listing a few key people enough?
