Hi everyone. I received an email this morning saying that my position is considered for a provisional redundancy. It is not confirmed yet, however chances are very high with everything that's going on in the world.

I applied for my FLR-M extension visa on 3rd April 2020 and since everything is still closed haven't had a chance to submit my docs and biometrics. My whole visa application is relying on my finances. I am also eligible to apply for ILR mid August.

I was thinking if I could submit my documents and biometric whenever I get the chance and try to apply for ILR before get the decision for FLR-M visa. Is that going to be okay? I am majorly freaking out as obviously my whole visa application is relying on this employment.

If anyone knows what to do or what's the best course of action is for me, PLEASE HELP...

If you've already submitted for your extension then it's fine. You should already have all of your documents for your extension ready to go for flr. Your bank statements and employment letter etc. The clock basically stops once you submit your online app. If you are made redundant you should still have flr and have 2.5 years to get everything else situated. As always, I would wait on someone more knowledgeable than me to have a look and reply.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I do have everything ready. I really really hope that's the case...

Changes to the minimum income and adequate maintenance requirement
If you’ve experienced a loss of income due to coronavirus, we will consider employment income for the period immediately before the loss of income due to coronavirus, provided the requirement was met for at least 6 months up to March 2020.

If your salary has reduced because you’re furloughed, we will take account of your income as though you’re earning 100% of your salary.

If you’re self-employed, a loss of annual income due to coronavirus between 1 March 2020 and 31 July 2020 will generally be disregarded, along with the impact on employment income from the same period for future applications.

Thanks for that. So do you think, it would be fine? Since I was employed when I submitted my visa application online and 6 months prior to it.

Based on the guidance there I would say yes. I know it's just stress on top of stress right now but try to keep your head up!

I really appreciate it :)
Yeah, I'm trying to. Redundancy isn't confirmed yet but obviously isn't a great news. But it's all going to be okay.

If it helps, I applied for FLRm in Feb using my employment and then got stuck waiting for a biometric employment during lockdown. I was furloughed and then made at-risk for redundancy before the appointment. It didn't matter at all for my application. Good luck with everything!
