Hi all, I have received good news yesterday, my spouse visa has been approved! Now I am waiting for the BRP to arrive in few days (7 days the most 10 days). I am so happy, I am praying for everyone to receive the visas soon! The biotmetics appointment was 3 September, this was very quick, I couldn’t believe it!!! xxxxxxxxx
Congrats London1303!
Just a quick question, did you receive an email or an actual postal letter advising that it was approved?

We had biometrics on September 5th so pretty close your date :-)

Hey everyone--Just an update from me.
I submitted my application for FLR-M (2nd one) on 6th August and did biometrics and docs via the app the week of 7th September. Don't remember which day exactly.

I just got this email from the HO today
Quote
Due to the volume of correspondence we may be unable to locate your application without this reference and your correspondence may be returned to you.

Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but, due to the worldwide response to COVID-19, UKVI services are limited and we are not able to meet our usual service standards.

Although we would normally decide your application within eight weeks from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this may not be possible in your case.

In line with Government advice on essential travel, social distancing and other restrictions related to COVID-19, for the safety of our customers and our staff, the UK Visa and Citizenship Application Service (UKVCAS) locations where you would ordinarily submit your biometric details and provide any documents for scanning that you have not already uploaded yourself, have been closed.  Some centres are now opening with limited capacity so you may now be able to get an appointment – it is important you attend if an appointment is offered.

If your application was submitted prior to your current grant of leave expiring, your current status within the United Kingdom has been extended by section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971. You do not need to do anything else at this stage and do not need to be concerned about your immigration status.

If you have applied to switch your status in respect of your employment or studies then please refer to the guidance on Gov.UK as you should be permitted to commence work / study prior to your application being decided, should you meet the conditions set out in the guidance.

We apologise for the delay in dealing with your application and for the inconvenience this is causing. Please be assured we will do all we can to make a decision on your case as quickly as possible once your biometric details have been submitted.

We appreciate your patience at this time.

Kind regards.

Yours sincerely

Not sure if anyone else has had this but seems just like a general info email? I already submitted biometrics, so the bit a the end concerns be a bit but I know how they can be with correspondence.

It’s the general email sent out when they can’t meet their processing standards. At this point I think most of us have received it and we are all at different stages in our application and waiting times. I got this back on 5th August.

They don’t personalise these emails according to your application type or the way you submitted bios, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Nice one. Although we've used the IDV App I think this has made my mind up. We will do the appointment route also.

Well, my visa is now expired and it’s a miserable worrying feeling relying on Section 3C with no physical document. I can’t sleep, and a new week dawns that probably won’t bring a decision. I’ve honestly never felt so hopeless and powerless.

I can only hope my employer has done the checks the proper way, because I love my job. I’ve been on holiday this past week so I guess I’ll find out in a few hours time after some fitful sleep if it comes.

Good wishes to all for this upcoming week xx

Hi TwoWool, don’t be disheartened (I know this is much easier said than one) but trust me, it will all be ok. Unfortunately we’re all in this together. Hang in there! Sending you an abundance of positive energy to keep you going, all I can say is amidst all the madness, just trust the process.
