I've seen quite a few people say that they've taken a picture of their BRP. They should already have scanned pages of the passport.

Yes, that's a good point. I assumed that as well, but in the video it shows the passport photo page, this is why I was querying it.

And....I just received the email at 6.52pm. I am still working, so I'll deal with it over the weekend. Fingers crossed for everyone else who submitted online around the same time!

I'll share my experiences with the app if it's anything noteworthy and will definitely follow the advice to watch the video.

Yes I just photographed my BRP card, as my passport is uploaded to the site but to use it for ID I wasn't sure if it would want more than the photo page. So to make it easier I just used the BRP card. Like I said mine was upside down, I should have retaken it I guess, no option to flip it, but I hope it'll be ok.

The liveness test wasn't working for me at first I think because I didn't have enough light on me. When I went by the window it talked faster and worked right away. Whew!

Good luck everyone!

Anyone know if they do invites over the weekend? Bank holiday is Monday and looking at others dates I’d hope my invite is coming soon (June 16 app). Getting extremely frustrated with the process and just need this over with.

Hoping I don’t have to wait until Tuesday to start checking again.

I got my invite last night, 27 August, and submitted by application 4 June. I found the app super easy to use. It gives you options about which photo identification you want to use, and I chose passport since it was sitting beside me. The only thing took less than five minutes, including the live verification. Hopefully we start seeing approvals roll in!

Invitation arrived here on the evening of the 28th for our 20th June application. It seems to be picking up speed. :)

I am hoping some of those who already went through the app process will be kind enough to report in once they receive decisions. That way we can get a sense of approximately how long we'll be continue to be in visa limbo.

Yep--only took about five minutes to use the app, although it did crash my iPhone 6 when trying to take the photo. Not sure if it was just my phone (which I'm about to upgrade anyway) so keep that in mind. Fortunately, I could use my new (but not yet entirely set up) iPhone SE to complete the application.

It also never asked me for my unique application number, but I am guessing that came over with my documents. Now we wait again.

Good luck everyone, and happy apping.

Yes, similar set of problems here with it. We did get it working in the end:

Original iPhone SE (up-to-date, supported) - black screen for taking photos
iPad Pro 2020 (up-to-date, top of the range) - failed to upload the confirmation of the photos/liveness
Recent basic iPad - worked fine

Very strange. Anyway, all submitted now we think, no further email confirmation yet, and not sure if there will be either, but logging back in to the Sopra site doesn't give us any further options other than viewing our already provided documents.

Hi all,

We're just uploading the documents onto the app and I'm getting a little confused as to where everything needs to be uploaded.  Does it matter if some things aren't in the right place?

The app makes some mention about some Access UK document checklist and I think I've located that but it doesn't mention which category things need to go into.

Thanks everyone so much for all of your updates, this thread is a major comfort!

I applied for my ILR June 26th and got my final email invitation to use the app Aug 28 around 9pm.

Just went through the app today and have submitted. It was all very easy as I had uploaded my docs to the website about a month ago, so all I had to do was my photo, liveness test, and ID photo.

Was a bit confused with the ID photo as well, as I wasn't sure which category my BRP card fell under (there was an option that said Certification of something & BRP card, but was a bit nervous because I wasn't sure what the certification was). I too used the photo page of my passport. This was actually the only place I had difficulties as it took me ages to get the app to take the picture! Maybe I was shaking or something, but we got there in the end!

No issues at all with the liveness test, but can see why people are having trouble with it. If anything it went really fast- seemed liked I tipped my head down, to the left, then it said it was done. Fine by me!

I hope I'm not the only one that prays those quick photos they usually take at appointments are good- loved that the app let you take your photo as many times as you wanted! Found it easy to line up your face and eyes as well. Overall the app was easy peasy.

Would love some sort of confirmation email once submitted, but if that's my only gripe, I'm happy. It does at least acknowledge in the app if you go back to it that it has already been submitted.

Thanks again to everyone, looking forward to all of our approvals rolling in!

Does the type of application affect the order of invites? I’m seeing others around and after my application date getting invites but they are ILR and not FLR(M). I have not received an invite yet (June 16).

Does anyone know? I assume different groups at Home Office are processing different types of applications.

As far as I know, they are inviting people in application date order, regardless of the type of application... but that's only based on what they've told us, so we don't know how they are working on things behind the scenes.
