What is the email address and subject line of the email for those that have got an invite to the app? I want to make sure I have got it saved in my safe senders list and can set up a rule for emails from that address to go into a separate folder. That way I will know I have not missed anything at all.

Mine came from "FES Appointments" and the subject line was "Invitation to use the new UKVCAS IDV app"
The address was: no-reply@mail.ukvcas.co.uk
Hope that helps and hope you get it soon!

I think I'll be looking at getting an email about the appointment late September onwards.

But thank you for that information, I'm going to set that rule up on my inbox so I don't miss that email or any emails from that email address.

I just got my email as well. Did anyone see on the App where you can upload your results from the life in the UK test?

I believe it goes under the educational heading in the document upload part of the app. That's where mine was.

I just exported a PDF of the webpage that shows I passed the test.I put it in the "mandatory" section of my documents (but on the UKVCAS site rather than the app).

I was unsure where to put it as well, but figured it was "mandatory" I pass so put it there.

Though I only really added it as a precaution as it asks for the reference number for your passed test in the actual application.

So I failed in my efforts to not make myself stressed over this process and why I didn’t receive my invite yet.

I’m a bit worried about a Submit button that appeared on the Sopra Steria site a few weeks back.

So -
Applied 16 June
Uploaded docs 16-17 June
There was NO SUBMIT button on the Upload section of the site.

I returned August 16 to make sure nothing had changed and suddenly saw a ‘Submit’ button. I freaked, assuming we missed actually submitting my documents.

Now I’m concerned that meant it was sent off to UKVI as done and complete, which it isn’t as I haven’t given my facial image.

Can anyone confirm that they pressed the big scary Submit button in the Upload section of Sopra Steria and have received an IDV app invite?

If not I might need to call them if I don’t get invited by the 7th.

Don't panic TwoWool!

I got my email saying I qualify to reuse my details July 23rd, then hit the big scary "Submit" button July 29th on all my docs on the UKVCAS site.
After that I still got another email about the IDV app Aug 1st, then my invite to use it Aug 28th. Did my facial imaging through the app the next day, and all of my docs I had submitted were there in the app.

Others please correct me if I am wrong, but I saw the submit button as really just locking in those documents you had uploaded, because after it still showed I was able to upload further documents (just not able to do anything with those I had already submitted).

You did get the email saying you qualify to use the IDV app instead of a biometrics appointment, correct?

I am under the impression if you got the email saying you could use the app, you are able to submit your docs- this is exactly what I did anyway and all went as it should.

@TwoWool I applied in May but didn't hit submit on the Sopra Steria site until 2 weeks ago. I got my invite to the app at the same time as others who applied in May. I've now done the app stuff and I'm waiting. It seems like a few who applied in June haven't had the invite yet, and with the bank holiday yesterday just try not to worry too much yet! It's also possible they've found bugs they need to fix before inviting more people to the app.

I had pressed the submit button on the sopra steria website back in July and still received the invite to use the app i saw someone say the submit button just helps UKVI have access to all your documents quicker so they can start your application while waiting for the app invite theres nothing to worry about

Thanks all! I think I was trying to ensure I had done nothing wrong in the process but it sounds like it’s ok  :D Just more waiting!

To answer the question - yes I did get the email saying my biometrics would be able to be reused AND the email saying I was eligible for the app once it was available.

Just no official invite yet and trying to use the app says ‘This account has no cases enabled for Mobile access.’

No worries this whole process has been a learning process this year where things have changed thankfully almost there now once you get the invite if all your documents are already uploaded all you will have to do is the ID verification which was really simple and then after submitting that its just the wait for the decision.

Goodluck hope you get the invite soon

Is there a way to opt out now if you didn’t when you got the original ‘you are eligible for the app’ email?

I think the answer is no, and the only other way to opt out is after you receive the IDV invite email, but wanted to check.

I believe if you didn't opt out initially, you have to wait until you receive the invitation email. Another person here had technical issues after receiving the app invite and was able to schedule a biometrics appointment instead. You can always look to see if there are appointments. :)

Is anyone else having issues uploading documents from the external files section? They're all under 6MB but each time I try to upload it fails and even hitting retry doesn't work.
