Hi ! Do you get a confirmation email after you have submitted the application through IDV App. Thanks.

No you do not get an email. The only thing you see after you submit is the front screen of the app says:

Quote
"Your documents have been submitted. If you need to submit additional documents. UKVI will contact you directly"

Then submit button will be greyed out.

So I’ve run into a bit of a problem, I’ve lost my old expired passport, and I know I have to submit every page for them. I do have the page with all my information as well as a photo of my old visa inside. That’s what I will only be able to submit. Would it be denied because of that?

No, it’s not a big deal and will not affect your visa decision in any way.

If you’ve lost your passport, then you’ve lost it. It happens, and it’s not an issue... you just write on the application form that it has been lost and therefore it cannot be provided.

Though if you have the photo page and picture of your old visa, then great - just upload those and explain why you don’t have the other pages.

Thank you so much! What I’ll do I upload a cover letter when I input all my documents into the app, as I opted out because I thought the app would be better. I have until October 1st to get everything submitted. BTW I passed the Life in the UK test which I had to attend 6 days post op after my surgery last week. Very fun.

I don’t know if this is a good sign, but I’ve been seeing reports in several groups I’m in on FB that people have been getting approvals via email since yesterday. So hopefully good signs! Good luck to everyone.

From the approvals I’ve seen ILR is getting processed quickly, not many FLR(M). This honestly feels like it’s never going to end.  :-\\\\
Entered U.K.: 29 December 2017
FLR(M) Applied: 16 June 2020 (Standard)
FLR(M) Approved: 16 October 2020
SET(M) Applied: 26 December 2022 (Super priority)
SET(M) Approved: 20 January 2023
Naturalisation Applied: 8 May 2023
Naturalisation Approved: 25 September 2023
Citizenship Ceremony: 19 October 2023
Passport applied: 25 October 2023
Passport docs received at HMPO: 02 November 2023
Passport application approved: 16 November 2023
Passport received: 18 November 2023
IT'S DONE!! I'M A BRIT!

My mental health is really suffering at the moment. I feel like the government and Sopra Steria should be giving us accurate expectations for when we should receive our visas. It is completely unfair that there is a different processing queue for people who went to biometrics in person and they are receiving their visas more quickly. This is just reinforcing my wish to move. My MP also voted to break the law this week after never responding to any messages.

That's what my wife saw when she submitted today. A confirmation email would have been nice.

Well I'm ILR and my case is really straightforward (at least I think it is), but I am still waiting too. I am hoping I don't have an emergency that requires me to travel out of the UK, not that I am especially keen to go back to the US for any particular reason. But I do have family there (including an elderly mom and a not-so-elderly son), so anything can happen. If another serious lockdown goes into effect, goodness known what the implications will be.

We are in the same situation, we applied for ILR on 14th May and my father in law is 96 years old and we are praying nothing happens to him that would need us to fly back to the US. We are beginning to regret using the app as we have seen people who have applied after us attend interviews and be approved withing days..
Online Application Spouse Visa - 27 Jan 2015
Visa Received - 16 Feb 2015
FLR(M) In-Person  (Approved)- 4 Jan 2018

AN (Naturalisation) - 28 Oct 2020

I didn't want to risk public transport to get to a centre for an in person interview, so I am stuck with the consequences of using the app. It would just be nice to get confirmation that SOME people who used the app are receiving responses.
