Would anyone be interested in collectively documenting the impact this has had on our mental health? I did contact one of the guardian reporters who has helped a couple people, pointing out the problems are widespread and we are all in limbo. I want the home office to at least change their processes so that all immigrants have the ability to check the status of their applications to confirm its in a work queue, and that the degree by which they miss their processing standard on normal apps counts in their KPI's. They are still clearly trying to fudge their stats by approving August and September apps before all of us from early in the pandemic.
I'd be interested for sure.

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to those who've gotten the 'granted' email! I still wait and am getting anxious, and my husband, let's not go there! I used the app and submitted on Aug. 27th, sigh, still waiting! I guess it's good to know they'll send an email,  not something in the post.

Hang in there everyone who's struggling right now with Covid, lockdowns, stress about it all etc! We are carrying a lot right now aren't we? I should be feeling joyful because we were finally able to close on our house, we were at it for almost a year and had to suffer through lockdown of the border (it's in Scotland and we're in N. England) and the damn estate was threatening to pull out of the sale! Now we can't even hire an architect or builders to come because we don't want anyone in the house. And they're rushed off their feet with work, all through this pandemic. I just want to move to my new cottage in the Sc. borders and work on the garden and get my art career back on track. We're not moved in yet because we're moving with our own small van/car in trips once a week. Oh and we found out the water has e coli so we're trying to organize getting that fixed. (we bring big jugs of water when we go!) I guess I'm sharing my stress right now, so if you're reading this, thanks for listening! Anyways, hang in there!!

Honestly, my heart goes out to all of you struggling out there. While the uncertainty of my visa status is unsettling (I am a control freak and just do not like this limbo feeling I've had since mid-June), I am not going through anything close to the kinds of things some of you are experiencing. I am so so sorry, and I hope you all do whatever you can to survive these challenging times.

The best thing is that we ARE seeing approvals for the app users.
They are not in date order which is frustrating (i.e. my application date was April 15 and my app date was Aug 25 - and still no approval)... but they ARE coming.
I think we'll see some real movement now.
Let's all keep reporting our results - it really helps!!!

Hi all,

Got my approval for leave to remain today. I submitted through the app on the 18th of sept. Unsure if it makes a difference but my husband is in the RAF, so we use a different paperwork.

Congratulations! Was that ILR or FLR? It's really frustrating they aren't going in date order at all, but I'm also super happy to see some approvals coming from the app!

Applied for ILR July 22nd, in person biometrics was August 27th... haven't heard anything.

If I think too much about it, it just gets me really down. My grandma passed away recently, and I couldn't go back for the service because of my visa situation. Her death wasn't a surprise, but I wanted to be there for my family. I really need a new car, but can't get one, as I'm not eligible for a loan because of my visa situation.

I absolutely hate feeling so unsettled and stuck. I guess I was a bit spoiled before, in that we did priority and got a decision in just a few weeks.

Did you ask to be given an exception to go back to the States for the funeral?  Or is it not allowed at all?  I emailed the COVID email they set up and just got a cookie cutter response saying I could not leave without losing my temporary Visa extension...

Out of curiosity has anyone who used the IDV app gone past the 8 weeks yet?

I am about to hit 7 weeks and hoping we should all hear back before going past 8 weeks but it just isn't feeling like we will I have also like someone on here said had to stop checking the forum and facebook groups because it is getting overly frusturating had to distance myself I was being suspended from work due to this whole delay thankfully I have amazing managers who fought for me and were able to get head office to allow me to stay just praying I hear soon so I dont need to worry again

It's been more than 8 weeks (8 weeks and 3 days, so just over) for me since I submitted the application, but only 4 since I was able to complete my application with the app. I'm trying not to worry about it until it's been 8 weeks since I submitted with the app, just in an attempt to preserve my own sanity, but it is definitely starting to get to me!

Yea I applied on May 24th and submitted via the app Aug 27th I have already gone over the 8 weeks from application date back in July but I was wondering if anyone who got the emails in August that I believe had applications submitted in April, March or even early May have reached the 8 week mark from submitting via the app as that is what I keep seeing people saying to wait till. I am just nervous as I will reach week 7 thursday.

I'm at about 17 weeks since I registered on the site and submitted my documents (June 11); I completed my facial scan with the app on August 29 (six weeks and change). Haven't heard anything on my ILR(M) submission, but fingers crossed it will be soon.

I have a hunch they are using the app submission date order rather than the original submission date for my paperwork, despite what the site says ("UKVI have told us that they aim to deal with ALL applications in date order. This means that your case will be dealt with by UKVI based on the date of your registration with UKVI/UKVCAS."). Just a hunch, but nothing else makes sense. Well, nothing makes sense at this point...but I'm grasping at straws.

I submitted my application on June 26th, submitted my documents via the UKVCAS site around mid-July, and completed my facial scan/app portion on August 29th as well, Heidi.

Thrilled to say that I woke up to an approval email for my ILR this morning!

The relief is massive, and I am sure we are about to see a lot more approvals on this thread. Thanks to all who have been a huge support through this, we have an amazing community here. Hang in there everyone.

Heidi1961 - I think you have hit the nail on the head! I think they are using our APP submission date as the basis for going "in date order... based on the date of your registration with UKVI ..."
But still, I have watched as app dates later than mine are getting approved.
They are certainly NOT using the dates we submitted our applications online...
My online application date was April 15, and my App submission date was Aug 25.
It has been 6 months since my online application date on April 15, and 7 weeks since my App date of August 25.
I am SO hoping for an approval email this week!!!!! ...For everyone! ;)
