My husband got me a kitten because of my stress level but I tried taptalk to upload a picture and I am lost .. I work with materials that  our sent into space but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to upload a picture to this form lol

I wish I could upload a video .. she discovered a mirror for the 1st time the other day .. She spent about a good hour trying to figure it out 😂

I called the line for escalation today, who knows if it will help but at least it will confirm it didn't end up in a black hole in the wrong status when they asked for the part 2 of the consent forms signed by my husband. The very nice person said they were hearing from people who applied in March, and agreed it doesn't seem like they are processing them in date order. (it's clear to us they aren't) Given the publicity related to expensive outsourced contracts right now I hope someone pays attention to the terrible processes at the home office too. I really cannot imagine going through this again in 2 years.

In 2 years time, The Tories will still be around, barring a miracle. So I don't expect much change. This chaotic process will just continue getting more chaotic over time.

I NEARLY called yesterday. Actually, I did call but then hung up when I realized they probably couldn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I am glad they were very nice and acknowledged the truth/fiction situation in terms of date order.

How much did it cost you calling them?

I honestly don't know. I never spoke with a human and was only on for one minute according to my phone log.

I wouldn't bother ringing them, you aren't going to get much out from them over the phone. They're trained to give generic responses and most likely don't have a clue of the status of applications.

How much did it cost you calling them?

0300 numbers are charged the same way as 01 and 02 numbers, they are normal numbers as opposed to premium.

So, first they gave me the standard lines of "no news is good news, they'll contact if they need anything". But I really couldn't bare not doing anything at all and stressed the impact on my mental health of having no confirmation they had received the one document they asked for, so they gave a call reference # and took my details to send to their application team. It is standard provider rates, so I'll check my phone bill, but given how low I've felt it was the only thing I could do and my husband encouraged it. I'm still really not ok, and this added stress is just too much on top of chronic pain and terrible care on the NHS.

So I think you people will understand when I tell you my husband and I just had a mini heart attack! (yes stress levels are blooming lately because of many things).

I just had an email from UKVISASETM saying:

"Thank you for your application for indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom. To help me consider the matter, please send me the following document.  Please send the required document via email to UKVISETM@homeoffice.gov.uk.

Document required:

1.          A signed declaration to where the funds which you relying on to meet the financial requirement came from."

OMG, I looked back over my checklist of documents and saw I left this blank with a question mark! I wasn't sure if I was supposed to type something up and hand sign it and guess I never asked the smart folks here!!! CRUD!!  Well I've quickly typed up what I hope is correct and signed it, scanned it and emailed it right back! (it said I had 14 days, are they crazy? We're on this like glue)

Lets hope I did it correct and now they will process my application. I applied on May 14th and used the app on Aug.27th.

Whew, deep breath.....

I would call, if you can. Follow the link here: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

GULP! Now you made me double check to make sure I submitted something, which I did. It was very basic:

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter serves as official declaration that the source of cash savings in XXXXXXX is the 2015 sale of our residence in New Jersey.

Sincerely,
Blah blah blah (both of us signed).

I also included a PDF of the original check/deposit of the funds into our bank account in the US which has since been transferred into the XXXXXXXX account here in the UK.

This was the same thing I used when I submitted my FLR.
