@ayg15 I have been trying to focus on positive. Currently I am focusing on Christmas and decorating while secretly praying I hear before the end of another month I have also made a big dent in Netflix with all the movies and tv shows I have been watching to keep distracted

@j4v3d I have asked my husband about contacting the MP but he thinks it may be pointless as his is an MP that supports the current system and believes he wouldn't be interested in helping us. I guess I am just left with the option of waiting. If the wait takes much longer though I will of gained alot of weight from all the sweets I have been stress eating! Currently no chocolate or sweet is safe within my reach

Also does anyone know when we get the BRP card will the start date be dated back to when in expired?

For ex my BRP expired in May 2020 will it start from there or November 2020?

The BRP will start from the date the new visa is issued.

So, if it’s issued in November 2020, it will be valid for 30 months starting in November 2020.

But it doesn't change our end-date or our ILR application date, right? I assume (and hope) the ILR date is still 5 years from the day we first entered using our first BRP?

Yes, your ILR date is calculated from the date you first entered the UK on 30-day visa vignette in your passport.

The new FLR(M) being valid for 30 months from when it is issued just means you will have an extra few months leeway to apply for ILR before it expires.

Thanks ksand24!
So, assuming I have it right...  the application window for ILR starts 28 days before the 5-year anniversary of the day we first entered the UK on our 30-day vignette - and ends when our FLR(M) BRP card expires. (?)

Congratulations to those of you who have received your approvals. Needless to say, I'm still waiting. Nearly five months since submitting my application and paperwork online (11 June) and 10 weeks (plus two days) since using the app (29 Aug). Not sure if this second lockdown will stop them from moving forward with approvals, but at this point, it seems pretty hopeless.

Every day that passes is another day closer to a result. Hang in there, it could come any time now.  :)

Happy to report that we got the approval email today - only 10 days after calling to escalate (originally applied April 16, did the app on Aug 25th).

It's been a good few days all in all :)  We even had a lovely sunny and calm day in our Scottish mountains on Saturday!  Only two years before ILR time!
