Received my card today!
5 days after decision email! So happy to be in the clear again and thankfully all information was correct on the card.

2 weeks ago, after 8 weeks since Biometrics, we were told to call back in 2 weeks. So today my wife called the 0300 123 2241 number. However, we got someone who said they did not have access to the system, and when I asked if it was worth trying a Biometrics centre (in the vain hope that would speed up things even though we used the App back in September) the person just said dunno, and didn't seem to have any interest at all in helping. So is there a number that can be called to get to a real/caring human?

Martin

I'm sorry (but not surprised that) you got that sort of response. The best you can do is call back later and hope to get someone who is a little more helpful, even if that is the case though, take what they say with a pinch of salt.
Good luck.

Thanks Larrabee. We'll give it another try tomorrow.

Also, the new number is 0300 790 6268. Sounds like the 0300 123 2241 number will be phased out soon, according to the robo-answerer.

Has anyone had any luck in ringing them up and getting something out of them that has resulted in the application being dealt with quicker?
I honestly believe that those that answer the calls do not have the foggiest of where our applications are or what stage in the processing they're at.

I’d like to know this too. I’m getting really fed up with it all.

When I called in October I said I was concerned they didn't receive the document they asked for (I missed a consent) given how far out of the service standard it was and they gave a lengthy call reference number and sent it to the "accounts" team. I had my approval email less than 2 weeks later, but the timelines for approvals have been all over the place. So I don't know if it changed anything but I feel like it helped?

Is there an email address that you can enquire about the status of your application?

Hang in there folks.... 2 days shy of 13 weeks since biometrics and 4 days shy of 24 weeks since application submission I got the approval email a few minutes ago. No idea if its just coincidence but I emailed (replied to an email from FLRMvalidate@homeoffice.gov that I had received on August 14th containing a reference number) on the 4th asking if there was any way to find out an update and stated the length of time I had been waiting.

application submitted June 25

approval email December 6
