Fritos
« on: August 31, 2020, 09:57:23 AM »
Hey guys, its getting chilly and that makes me crave chili!
Unfortunately I can't eat that without fritos!
Has anyone had any luck finding a website they like with American foods?
I get on a new site, load my basket up, and then realize that my pioneer gravy mix, fritos and pickles costs over 50 quid. I just can't do it. Although, I am starting to get desperate. Lol

American Fizz has fritos in stock sometimes, and their prices are reasonable. I've bought fritos from them loads of times. If they don't have any right now, just keep checking back, they get new shipments in frequently.

Supermarkets have a product called Old El Paso Tortilla Strips which are exactly like Fritos.  That's what i buy when the craving hits me.

Would broken corn chips be a suitable replacement? There's lots of tortilla brands that aren't too bad and much more accessible than fritos.

Thanks everyone!

I now buy boxes of plain Old El Paso Strips as they no longer sell them near me.

Of course the yucky cheese ones are still available! lol

I found the same thing, my tesco has yucky cheese covered ones now and not the plain ones.  They do have some nachos that are kind of similar but not quite the same as fritos.  The good news is that we have a good selection of refried beans.

Oh yeah, the cheese ones are grim.  Plain 'Frito-flavour' all the way.
I was buying them so often, though, I'm now scunnered on them and don't think I'll bother anymore.
