Husband (carer) gets his jab Friday. After a horribly stressful week and a GP being confused I will be getting mine once they can guarantee its at a safe location for a possible severe reaction. I wrote with their "askmygp" system because I knew well controlled asthma was pulled from Group 6 and they hadn't considered my other history with regards to shielding, so I was worried they were also pulling me from that when my husband got his invite and I didn't. They told me I wasn't group 6 and had to wait for my age group! I've never felt like my life mattered less, I had so many friends shielded with fewer issues than I have (I would happily trade them for a healthy body, serious, but I'm stuck with this one so I want it protected!). I calmly asked for the practice manager to call me and by the time she did - I was in group 6. Will sleep a lot more soundly tonight knowing its coming soon. Unfortunately, I also have a number of friends who are still left off the list, in wheelchairs with multiple carers, but somehow don't qualify. I'm hoping their GP's will use appropriate judgement since the JCVI ignored rare diseases.

I got my jab last Thursday (delayed posting, but late is better than never I guess).

Margo, how are you doing with yours?

Thanks!  :)  It's been a bit of a rough ride since I'm still battling Long Covid, but my virology consultant said it was still worth it.  So I took the plunge into unknown waters!  LOL

Finally scheduled for Monday! Husband had a very rough weekend after his so I am planning on being out of commission a few days.

I saw the Swansea DVLA workers are striking. I really hope it leads to change, so many workplaces have not been safe the past year and nothing has been done about it.
