COVID

2 people at my work have had it. One recovered last week and the other is just now having symptoms ease up. Both fully vaccinated. Funny bit (not really) is 1 didn't ever isolate. Got his positive test and was seen in Asda a few days later. Came back to work on day 8. 😒

I’d be all over that with HR! 

My daughter and I had it two weeks ago. I started with the symptoms the day after my second jab. I’m sure my son had it as well (he’s 4 months), but he just got a bit warm.

My two year was the most unwell I’ve ever seen her and I was seriously worried. 39 degree fever. I mean, she FELL ASLEEP on the COUCH!! While watching telly. That tells you just how unwell that Tasmanian devil really was!

I was just really tired, had my first fever in a couple years and didn’t feel up to much. Monitored my blood oxygen saturation which stayed above 95 the whole time. It wasn’t fun. I wasn’t well.

My husband had his second jab about 10 days before our symptoms started (he’s four years older so was allowed earlier). He tested negative throughout.

I despair...

Ugh, that’s awful!

The spouse of the friend in Spain has been trying to get “home” to Ireland to see her family but her PCR tests are still positive. They say they can be for up to three months…..  she’s a bit frustrated…. 

Yea they'll be positive for 90 days. So frustrating for her!

Sigh. Had to cancel band practise tonight thanks to the newly imposed 3 household limit on indoor socialising up here in Scotland.

That’s why I’ve been mingling like crazy!  Not long before we are back in lockdown.

I expect we will go to travel restrictions etc……..then lockdown. Met 4 American tourists today from LA, wtf are they thinking??

It might have been a bit risky, but with the potential for another lockdown soon, I made sure that I went on my trip into London over the weekend - I met up with friends I hadn’t seen in 2 years for a Christmas meal and saw Hamilton in the evening .

I’m supposed to be back in London again in Feb for my US visitor visa interview… just hope it doesn’t get cancelled.
