My morning…  Is that COVID test sitting on a petri dish full of gold flakes?  That house renovation must have been something else!

Hope you sail through it!

That’s me. 4 year old still negative….

It’s a coaster!  I’ll update photos tomorrow.  They are moving along. Grateful for our dry January!

We are good!

I’m out of isolation and feel 100%. I realise now that I was definitely tired and had a headache. But that was all.

Husband has some residual sinus issues but that could be unrelated. He’s doing sinus rinses.

Daughter is back to school and activities but I keep checking in with her.  She’s not 100%. We are hoping a couple of nights of kids melatonin will get her back on track with sleep and that will help her be back to herself entirely.

Son never caught it.  Confirmed by PCRs.

Such a weird virus!!!

I was supposed to go to my citizenship ceremony today, but caught covid instead!  My wife went by herself and brought me back some takeaway.   I'm feeling OK so far, just tired and coughs.  The line was soooo faint I could have ignored it, but I figured it's not worth the risk to others just so I wouldn't have to postpone my ceremony.

Thanks guys!  Now that it's not enforced by law, it's hard to figure out what's the right thing.  If I had a big cold I would have gone anyway, maybe now that we are living with Covid it's the same?  I don't know.

Now I am stuck in my bedroom, working at the desk at the foot of the bed.

I REALLY wish they would issue "proper guidance".

D&V you are supposed to be clear for 48 hours.  Something like that.  We need a rule.

But yeah, like everyone else, it's the fear of giving it to someone where it could be life-changing for them that concerns us all!

No idea what D&V is but I agree with you that the guidance is very confusing now.

Our daughter is visiting from LA and since it has been years since she last saw many of her close relatives we have been out visiting (currently in Edinburgh) and were due to visit my wife’s brother and his family this coming weekend on our way to Barcelona. (The last time she was in England was in London with us and her brother). However, her aunt tested positive on Sunday so we said we had to skip seeing them just in case. Since then her aunt has been sick enough to be in bed and now her uncle has symptoms and is testing positive.  Hopefully they won’t get too sick as they have all been boosted, but you have got to feel for them because one of their daughters is seriously I’ll in hospital and she can no longer visit her.
