Stupid question, but when did you upload your documents? I have already completed the application and paid, but I have not been asked to upload any of my completed documents. It has taken me right to the biometric appointment step. I am NOT finding a lot of appointments, but I'll check again later since I still need to get my referee documents anyway.
You can upload your documents to the UKVCAS website at any point between now and your biometrics appointment (whenever that ends up being).

Yes--I still have everything scanned from my ILR application and will just reuse those (aside from my new BRP).

Thanks!

We already had everything scanned and saved from ILR so we were able to upload the documents the same day we completed the application, well everything except the two referees forms as we needed to mail one to the US and the other to a family friend here in Scotland. we now have them back and have uploaded them both and submitted the uploads as our appointment is on Wednesday 25th Nov.
Good luck on your appointment tomorrow. Tell me all about it! (Mine is scheduled for Dec 21.)

We are home from our Biometrics appointment at the Glasgow UKVCAS site.  We had an early start to get the train to Glasgow (2 1/2 hours from home). Glasgow is in lockdown so it was very quite when we arrived. We had checked out getting to the UKVCAS center and we decided that we would walk as the map said a 20 min walk on the flat, it took us 25 mins but was an easy walk. We arrived 30 early for the appointment and were worried we would be turned away and with everything being closed we would have had to just stand outside but we were allowed in. Once we arrived at the reception we were astonished to see the place was empty and we were ushered straight to an agent. The agent took Jon's photo and scanned his fingerprints and thumbprints on both hands and then asked to see the passport and BRP card, he gave those to another staff member to scan while he checked the uploaded documents to make sure they could be read. He was able to confirm that everything had uploaded ok and had now been submitted to UKVI for decision.  He explained that a decision would be sent by email and that they have up to   6 months to make a decision on the application but in his experience most people were getting a decision within 3 months. he apologized for the fact we had traveled so far for such a short visit and wished us a safe journey home. We left within 10 minutes of our arrival and were on our way back to the train station before the official appointment time! We are now safely home after an epic 5 hours of travel for a 10 minute appointment, but it is done!! Now we wait....

Whew! What an ordeal for 10 minutes!! You must be relieved that it's over. I am pleased to hear they didn't kick you out for being too early.

I actually opted to pay £70 to attend a closer appointment; I decided it was a worthwhile investment if it meant I didn't have to drive three to four hours back and forth for a free one at Croydon.

Hoping it's just a three month wait for you (or even shorter)!

I wish we could have paid to go to a closer center but there are only 2 in Scotland a Premium center in Edinburgh or the Core center in Glasgow both are about the same distance  from where we live.. hope your appointment goes a smoothly as ours did..

Thanks!
Since I'm still not exactly thrilled about driving in London, the thought of driving from North London to South London (especially for a 10 minute appointment) and finding somewhere to park (which I probably hate more than the driving) seemed like unnecessary stress. I splurged on the paid appointment that's less than 30 minutes away. It's at lovely local library with what looks like a parking lot (at least from Google maps).

We had our appointment today, and it all went smoothly.

We arrived about 30 minutes early, after being asked to arrive 15 minutes before the appointment, and had to come back at the -15 minute mark.

It all went smoothly and then in and out in half an hour. We had an email the previous day to say that all of our scans looked good (all done in colour, incidentally, as for the ILR).

During the appointment, the representative wanted to also upload a copy of the driving licence as part of the proof of residency, which seemed odd but we didn't dissent - it couldn't exactly hurt!

Overall, a pretty pleasant experience, and the representative was very polite and chatty. Now to wait for ... six months maybe? :)
