Hi folks,
I'm at a loss here, and I'm not sure what on earth we should realistically do.
My wife's grandfather passed a few months ago, and one of the legacies we have is that he set up some stocks for her when she was born. They're in his name held for her, and we can only get vague information out of Wells Fargo about it, just that we have to fill in a stock transfer form, which will need amongst other things a Medallion Guarantee stamp.
Does anyone have any experience with this from the UK side? I think it's complicated, and we are not in a hurry. If we have to wait until we next visit the United States to complete this, that's OK too. But I would be very pleased to hear of anyone with experience who might be able to offer a little advice, as we are both completely in the dark about the machinations of this whole byzantine process!
Thanks
