Just before I answer, as mentioned previously, please can you post ALL of your questions about your application in the same thread?
This is so that all of the information you've told us, and all of the advice we have given you, is all in one place on the same page. It makes it much easier for us to help you, and to keep track of all the details, if we don't have to search through the whole forum for all of your previous posts every time you ask a new question.
I'd suggest posting all of your questions in this thread:
https://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=98811.msg1306204UK Yankee Forum told me:
- a letter from his employer, dated no more than 28 days before you submit the online application, confirming all of the following:
- his employment,
- the gross annual salary/income and the annual salary/income after income tax and National Insurance contributions have been paid
- how long the employment has been held, - the type of employment (permanent, fixed
-term contract or agency
What I Actually have:
A copy of fiance's Contract of Employment on company letterhead.
A copy of a payslip (since we were missing one sent to us) with a note from his boss reading:
"I certify that this is a copy of Mr collins' August payslip. With her wet signature and position in the company.
Will this suffice or should we ask for a better letter with wet signature?
What you have is NOT sufficient.
That letter is absolutely mandatory and MUST include ALL of the following:
- his current employment details (company, job title etc.)
- the gross annual salary/income and the annual salary/income after income tax and National Insurance contributions have been paid
- length of his employment
- type of employment... permanent or temporary, full-time or part-time
The letter should also confirm the following for any payslips that are not original and instead have been printed from the internet:
- date of payslip
- pay period
- gross pay
- net pay
- date paid into his bank account
- an explanation for any discrepancies between the amount and date on the payslip(s) and the amount and date of the pay deposit(s) into his bank account
For the financial requirement:
Mandatory documents:- 6 months of payslips
- 6 months of bank statements
- the employer letter as detailed above
Optional but recommended documents:- job contract
- latest P60
To reiterate my point above about posting everything in one thread... because this was posted as a new topic, I didn't remember your fiance's financial situation, so I almost gave you incorrect advice... because I was basing my reply on someone applying under Category A, whereas, after I hunted down your other thread, I realised that:
- your fiance is exempt from the financial requirement due to receiving DLA
- therefore the employer letter he provides will need to contain slightly different details compared to someone applying under Category A
If this question had been posted in your other thread though, I could have saved myself 10 minutes of typing incorrect information and then having to retype half of it when I remembered that you are applying under Adequate Maintenance.
