FLR(M) Final Check
« on: December 28, 2020, 12:01:02 AM »
Hi again,

Grateful if you can confirm my documents before I hit submit on my online application.

Entered UK: 10 May 2018 - As stamped on entry visa
BRP Expiring: 26 Jan 2021

Mandatory documents:
- BRP
- US Passport

Declarations:
- Part 1: Consent for the Home Office to verify application information (signed by me)
- Part 2: Consent for the Home Office to verify third party information (signed by my husband)
- Part 3: Consent for the Home Office to verify information from third party sponsor (not applicable, I am relying on my own salary)
- Declaration for spouses, civil partners, etc. (signed by my husband)

Relationship Documents:
- Husband's UK passport
- Marriage Certificate
- Certificate of Dissolution of Marriage (my ex)
- 6 Items of Correspondence
- Proof of Property Ownership (flat owned by husband): Mortgage Statement and Title Information from Registers of Scotland
- Letter signed by my husband as owner of the flat we live in
- Son's birth certificate (it's listed as a required document on the online application form)

Financial Requirements
- My signed contract of employment
- Personal bank statements covering 6 months period (printed online, to be stamped by bank) and corresponding pay slips.
Pay is normally every 27th of the month. The period I am relying on will be 28 Jun to 28 Dec if I submit my application tomorrow.
. 28 Jul 2020 - shows 27 Jul pay
. 28 Aug 2020 - shows 27 Aug pay
. 28 Sept 2020 - shows 26 Sept pay
. 28 Oct 2020 - shows 27 Oct pay
. 27 Nov 2020 - shows 27 Nov pay
. 28 Dec 2020 - shows 22 Dec pay (I'm expecting the statement tomorrow or at least before the end of the year. We were paid early.)
- Letter of Employer who issued the pay slips confirming all of below:
. The employment
. Gross annual salary (exceeds £18,600)
. How long the employment has been held (employed with company since 11 Nov 2019)
. Period over which the person has been paid the salary stated in application (current salary effective 1 June 2020)
. Type of employment (permanent)

For the 6 items of correspondence, I am still unsure about the spacing of the dates so I have 2 options:

Option 1:
Spaced every 5 months, last one is spaced 4 months between Aug and Dec 2020
8 Jan 2019 (shows transactions from 7 Dec 2018) - Royal Bank of Scotland bank statement (Joint)
20 May 2019 - Royal Bank of Scotland credit card statement (Husband)
17 May 2019 - Sainsbury's/Legal and General Pension retirement benefit statement (Mine)
or
3 May 2019 - Letter from Scottish Gas, not a bill (Joint)
1 Oct 2019 - Scottish Gas bill (Joint)
13 Mar 2020 - Council Tax statement
5 Aug 2020 - O2 Device Plan Statement (Husband)
3 Aug 2020 - Nationwide credit card statement (Mine)
11 Dec 2020 - Bank of Scotland bank statement (Husband)
1 Dec 2020 - Letter from New Day/Amazon credit card (Mine)

Option 2:
Spaced every 4 months, number of correspondence is more than the required
8 Jan 2019 (shows transactions from 7 Dec 2018) - Royal Bank of Scotland bank statement (Joint)
17 Apr 2019 - Scottish Gas bill (Joint)
6 Sept 2019 (shows transactions from 8 Aug 2019) - Royal Bank of Scotland bank statement (Joint)
20 Dec 2019 - Royal Bank of Scotland credit card statement (Husband)
27 Dec 2019 - Nationwide credit card statement (mine)
3 Apr 2020 - Scottish Gas bill (Joint)
5 Aug 2020 - O2 Device Plan Statement (Husband)
3 Aug 2020 - Nationwide credit card statement (Mine)
11 Dec 2020 - Bank of Scotland bank statement (Husband)
1 Dec 2020 - Letter from New Day/Amazon credit card (Mine)

Thanks again for all your help!!!

For the 6 items of correspondence, I am still unsure about the spacing of the dates so I have 2 options:

They must be spaced every 4 months, so you will need to use Option 2.

From what you have listed, I would use:

Dec 2018 (you can probably use the Jan document)
1. 8 Jan 2019 (shows transactions from 7 Dec 2018) - Royal Bank of Scotland bank statement (Joint) (Source 1)

April 2019
2. 17 Apr 2019 - Scottish Gas bill (Joint) (Source 2)

Aug 2019 (looks like you will have to use the Sept document)
3. 6 Sept 2019 (shows transactions from 8 Aug 2019) - Royal Bank of Scotland bank statement (Joint)

Dec 2019
4. 20 Dec 2019 - Royal Bank of Scotland credit card statement (Husband)
4. 27 Dec 2019 - Nationwide credit card statement (mine) (Source 3)

April 2020
5. 3 Apr 2020 - Scottish Gas bill (Joint)

Aug 2020
6. 5 Aug 2020 - O2 Device Plan Statement (Husband) (Source 4)
6. 3 Aug 2020 - Nationwide credit card statement (Mine)

Dec 2020
7.  11 Dec 2020 - Bank of Scotland bank statement (Husband)
7. 1 Dec 2020 - Letter from New Day/Amazon credit card (Mine) (Source 5)

I am forever confused about how the 6 months for the financial requirement is calculated so huge thank you as always, ksand24, for clarifying!

- Payslips if you were paid on 22nd December, your 6 months is 22 Jun to 22 Dec... so you MUST include the May and June payslips and bank statements as well.:

I have both May and June bank statements and pay slips.
However, I have a question about my May pay slip - I've worked with the same company since Nov 2019. However, from Nov 2019 to May 2020 I was a contract employee on a fixed gross annual salary. I only became a permanent employee on 1 June 2020 so my May pay slip will reflect my old salary, not the salary verified on my employer's letter. I have a signed contract that shows the level of salary from May employment still meets the minimum £18600. However, do I need another employer letter to confirm this?

- latest P60
The latest one I have is from 2019.

- Latest council tax bill
The latest one I have is dated 13 Mar 2020 - stating this is our annual Council Tax Bill for 2020/21 (Shows both our names)

- Son's passport
OK, we have his UK passport.

- Letter dated in the last 3 months confirming son's address
I have a letter from NHS for him dated 09 Dec 2020. It is addressed to "Parent or Guardian of my son's name". Is this ok?

The employer letter needs to confirm:
- current employment and salary
- total length of employment
- length of time earning current salary (i.e. date of salary increase)
- previous salary if salary increase happened in the last 6 months
- type of employment (permanent/temporary, full/part-time)

When calculating the previously-earned income that can be considered, they will use the lowest payslip from the last 6 months and multiply it by 12 to get your annual income.

- latest P60
The latest one I have is from 2019.

Did you not receive one in May 2020, covering the April 2019 to April 2020 tax year?

If you have it, you should include it. If you only have the April 2018 to April 2019 P60, issued in May 2019, then you don't need to include it as it was issued too long ago.

- Latest council tax bill
The latest one I have is dated 13 Mar 2020 - stating this is our annual Council Tax Bill for 2020/21 (Shows both our names)

Yes, that is the one you are supposed to include... the annual statement issued in March.

Yes, that is exactly what you need.

Ok. I'll request a new letter from my employer to include my previous salary.

Did you not receive one in May 2020, covering the April 2019 to April 2020 tax year?

Ah, yes. The P60 I have is for tax year to 5 April 2020.

Thanks! I am ready to click on SUBMIT on my application :-)

Don't click just yet - your employer letter, latest payslip and latest bank statement must all be dated BEFORE the date you click submit on the online application.
