ILR online submitted on 9th August, still no decision

Hi everyone,

I have submitted my ILR application online on 9th August, and Biometric information early September by IDV.
It has been almost 5 months now, I still haven't received any email.

May I ask is this normal? On average, how long does it take for a decision?
I am extremely anxious now. What should I do next?

The processing standards time for ILR is 6 months, and you're still only at 4.5 months from application submission and 3 months from using the IDV app, so you're still well within normal processing times.

Also, applications submitted using the IDV app seem to be taking longer than those who booked and attended a biometrics appointment, so your processing time seems to be about the same as others who applied around the same time as you.

I’ve always considered it to be from biometrics, since they won’t receive your documents and can’t start processing the application until that date, but the UKVI website just says it’s calculated from the ‘application date’ which technically is the date you applied online.

In short, I’m not completely sure, but I think you would probably have cause for complaint if you didn’t have the visa after 6 months from August 9th (which will be Feb 9th).
