Travelling after submitting biometrics?
« on: January 09, 2021, 05:14:09 PM »
Hi, I had a quick question. My wife may need to travel for a family emergency. Her situation is:

- She's submitted biometrics
- Her BRP runs out on the 15th Feb

My question is can she travel between now and return back by 15th Feb before her visa expires?

She could travel but if she gets stuck in the US for any reason and doesn't get back before the BRP expires, then she cannot get back into the country again.

Also, be aware that sometimes there are issues with the application which requires further documentation, so if she's out of the country that could hamper any updates back to UKVI.

If she leaves the UK while she has a pending application it will be deemed to be abandoned and she would have to start again from the US before shewould be able to come back to the UK.

Even if the BRP does not expire for another month?
