FLR(m) Payslip Question
« on: January 11, 2021, 11:13:25 AM »
Hi everyone,

I’m sure this gets asked a lot, but couldn’t find any threads that fit my circumstances close enough.

I’m just in the process of organising all paperwork before I submit my FLR application this weekend.

One bit that has me confused is the payslip / confirming their authenticity. I get paid roundabout the 28th or 1-2 days prior (depending if payday falls on a weekend or public holiday) each month, but my payslip says “period ending ___” which is usually the very last day of the month / month end date.

If I’m supposed to provide 6 months of payslips (employer also going to validate their authenticity), which months do I provide if I’m applying no later than 22 January? I doubt 28 January’s payslip will be processed in time before I apply...

Sorry if this is a confusing or silly question!

Thank you.

FLR(m) Payslip Question

The latest payslip and bank statement must be dated no earlier than 28 days before the date you submit the online application, and no later than the date you submit the online application.

Therefore if you will be applying no later than January 22nd, then your latest payslip and bank statement must be dated between:

25th December and 22nd January

So, if you were last paid on December 28th, with your payslip dated December 31st, then you use the December payslip and corresponding bank statement.

So that means that the 6 months you must cover are:

June 28th to December 28th

And if you are paid on the 28th but the payslip says 30th or 31st, you will need the payslips and bank statements from:

May 31st to December 31st in order to explicitly cover the days of June 28, 29 and 30th.

Thanks Ksand for the clarification!

I’ve made a table to hopefully help clarify my question. Please see attached - does this meet the requirements?

Thanks again.

Also just to briefly mention - I’ve included my p60 for tax year 19/20 but that’s also electronic!

Yes, looks like it does - as long as all the payslips are above £1,550 per month before tax :).

The electronic P60 should also be verified in the employer letter, to confirm that it's authentic.

Excellent! Thank you Ksand! I’ve heard from my friend Rick Stephens that the scanning is the WORST part of this application, so I’m really dreading that but ready to get it over with
