We applied a few days after Kezzie62 and we had our biometrics mid-December. Our approval just came through today (hooray!), so depending on where you count from, about 4 and a half months from the application, and 3 and a half from biometrics. :)
This is fantastic news! I may get both my citizenship and my first COVID vaccine within a few weeks of each other. (I had biometrics on 21 December and applied on 21 November.) My son (who turns 30 today) has been asking me when I think I'll be able to travel back to New Jersey for a visit, but it will still be quite some time. Still, we're getting closer.

The only way it could be better is if I get my approval in time to vote here for the first time.

Thanks for this update. and a great big congratulations!!

You are very welcome and I hope so too, Heidi! Like you we were asked (oddly) for "another" (seemingly arbitrary) document by Sopra Steria; we only had a provisional driving licence on us and so we gave them that. I doubt it made any kind of difference to any kind of proofs; I figure they are attuned to dealing with a lot of EU applications at the moment with the lack of formal immigration history, but it's reassuring that the very sparse set of documents we use is clearly adequate.

If the timelines are consistent I make that around three weeks for you to hear back. Is it like clockwork? I don't know, but ours seemed to be a similar timeframe to Kezzie so fingers crossed!

I just received my letter (via email) confirming that my application has been successful. Woo hoo!

However, they screwed up and referred to me as MRS despite the fact that I do not use that title (nor have I ever used that title). Does that matter? If so, how/who do I contact to make the correction?

Also, have any of you booked your citizenship ceremonies yet?

Congratulations!!!! It is very common for a married woman to be referred to as Mrs. I would think that as long as your names match your ID and application there should be no issue.

We are still waiting for the letter to arrive telling us to contact our local council to book the ceremony.. we are hoping that now things are easing up with lockdown that maybe we will hear soon! We have just bought a house and are planning to move home in June/July and it would be good to not have to contact the Home Office about change of address...

Congratulations on the house! That is really wonderful. And thanks for the reassurance about the name thing. I just went through this with several other groups (including my employer and the NHS). I don't know when and why they decided to call me MRS, but I was worried if the documentation did not match my application.

And now I can safely send off my US passport with plenty of time for its renewal. I wonder if I'll be fully citizen-ized in time to vote here in May?

That always chapped my ass!  I feel bad whenever a customer service person here asks for my title. I try to remember it’s not them, it’s the barbaric rule. But I don’t find it any less annoying.

I do giggle at the different titles that show up on different documents at my house depending on how sarcastic I was feeling at the time!  ;D

Well now instead of getting cranky when I see that, I'll laugh about it. Thanks for the perspective, KFDancer. I needed the giggle too!

Haha! I'm guessing there'll be a Rev and a Dr and perhaps some lesser royal title?  ;D

I use Ms.   :)

I like to throw a Mister in every now and then.

Sometimes the list to choose from is HUGE!

It just annoys me that a boy is a mister and a girl has loads of choices ALL based on “who you have paperwork with”.

I do like that boys under two are Master here.  I hadn’t heard that prior to having my son.  MASTER - YES!

I did some computer work for a company that sold gardening supplies to rich people and they insisted that the default title was master.  I laughed inside every time I saw it.

Meanwhile, I just saw that they'll charge £250 or something ridiculous to make a change, so yeah...I would prefer confirmation that this is not going to be on my official documents. I really don't want to have it on my UK passport once I finally can apply for it.

My UK passport only has my first name, middle name and last name. No Mrs...

Good to know. But how did you get your UK passport?? I thought I had to wait until my citizenship/naturalisation was complete (ceremony and all) before I could even apply for a UK passport or register to vote, for that matter.
