I would not recommend the DIY expat offering. I filled in all the info and expected it to be similar to TurboTax etc in that I could tweak various things and recalculate the tax and forms myself. However, once you get to the end you see what forms are generated and if you want anything changed, you must message them to sort it out. I'm still waiting for a response one week on... If I need to change anything else, I suspect that would be another week + of waiting? Doesn't seem fit for purpose to me and no good way to contact customer services other than via email. If your return is straightforward I would avoid it. I've used some of the freefile options from the IRS before - I think Taxslayer? - when my income was fairly small in the past.
