Thought it might be useful to have a link to the Get My Payment tool in this thread:

https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

I got 1 and 2, but currently says "payment status not available" for me, which I think means not been processed yet.

I passed this onto my son here in England and it says his payment is scheduled to be paid into his US bank account on Wednesday the 17th March.

I'm guessing they will hold off depositing 3.0 until they approve my tax return. Over four weeks since acceptance and still no approval...

If they have not processed your 2020 taxes when your time comes up in the que for the determination of stim 3 or not, they will go with your 2019 tax return.

Supposedly.

That is what happened with our son, he hasn’t filed his 2020 return yet but has received the latest payment into his US bank this week.

Hey all. Happy stimulus day.

Can anybody explain why my wife (USC) has received $2,800 and not £1,400? Sorry, we've been a bit detached from the stimulus news

Do you have a child you claim on your taxes?

Hi Margo. Yes we have a 4 year old who naturally goes on her taxes application. We receive the Child Tax Credit each year.

So your wife got $1400 for herself and $1400 for the dependent child. :)

Thanks for the clarification. We were very nervous! My wife is also expecting with our 2nd in August, will she also get a retrospective check?
