You do need to provide the applicant's actual passport too but it looks good to me.
Best of luck!  :)

Thank you, Larrabee!  I was pretty sure I had it all straight from my last (aborted) application in the middle of the worst of the pandemic, but sanity demanded I double check.  Many thanks to you and all the folks here, and I will update once I receive my approval  ;D

Hi. A checklist for an online spouse visa doesn't list all of the items you have listed, can you advise what document you have used to find out exactly what you need to send?

I'm afraid I'm not much help there, I've just been stalking this board for most of the past two years and looking at everyone else's questions.  I'm not sure about official sources, and I wouldn't hold my checklist up as the ultimate guide either, just what I've gathered in bits and pieces around here.

I know I've seen this around here before, so sorry to repeat, but I've got my biometrics what exactly do I need to bring to biometrics/post in?  I'm attending at an ASC?

I knowI need to post via UPS to New York VFS.  The .gov.uk says to include:

Once your appointment confirmation letter is stamped at the ASC, you will have 5 days to post this, your application form, current passport, UPS return shipping label, and any supporting documents (if you haven’t uploaded them online)

Do I also need any of the following?

1. The checklist form (assuming yes).
2.  Printed copy of priority service confirmation?
3.  Proof of IHS payment?

Anything else I'm missing?

Thank you for your help as always

You don’t take anything to biometrics except your passport and your printed biometrics appointment confirmation with the barcode on it.

At the appointment they will check your passport for ID, scan your appointment confirmation, take your fingerprints and photo and send you home. Shouldn’t take more than about 5 minutes.

Biometrics are taken by US immigration on behalf of UKVI. They have nothing to do with your application and don’t even care what visa you’re applying for. They are simply providing a fingerprints and photo service.

Once you have attended the appointment you have 5 days to mail your package to New York.

You need to send:
- your passport
- biometrics confirmation sheet
- priority processing receipt
- return packaging
- return shipping label
- you may also need to print and include the first page of your online application with the barcode on it (not sure if this is actually needed or not)

1. No... you do not send the checklist. Instead, you upload it to VFS along with your documents before attending biometrics.

2. Yes, include the priority receipt

3. No, as your IHS reference number should already have been entered on the online application

Thank you again for your help!

I can't imagine doing all of this while just trawling through the formal guidelines.

I'm happy to say that my application has finally been submitted!

Has anyone been posting about processing times lately?
