I have a compressor ice cream maker and I love it. Making a custard base is so easy but it doesn't have to be a custard base.

I make ice cream from cream cheese, yogurt, boiled eggs, coconut milk. Millions of different recipes.

Why can't we have Fudgesicles here?  :\\\'(

Have any of your clever folk discovered anything in the supermarkets that's just like a Fudgesicle?

I feel like I've had similar things but nothing close enough to commit it to memory.
My, how time flies....

I can’t think of anything, but I am not up with all my ice lollies.

I like Magnums, Feasts, Soleros, and Fruit Splits.

On the topic of under-represented ice lollies, in the US, on rare occasions, I could find a Strawberry Shortcake thing... this:  https://www.goodhumor.com/us/en/products/bars/strawberry-shortcake-dessert-bar.html

Does anybody know of anything like that here?  It was an occasional 'guilty pleasure' treat for me.

Thanks, PB.  I might try those, because they might be interesting, but I can tell from the description that they won't touch this particular craving.  The Strawberry Shortcake bars were a unique flavour/texture sensation.

There's a similar product!  Hers is a copycat of a Brunch ice lolly...!  Irish brand, it looks like.  The center is ice cream, rather than frozen strawberry stuff, but it might be close enough.  If I can get it here.

And they do ice cream sandwiches, too, called Ice Bergers!

Still no luck on fudgesicles, though.

Not Fudgicle like at all. To me they seem more like frozen milk. Minging.

I actually do like those... the chocolate one doesn't really have that fudgy quality, but it's all right.

Found some copycat Fudgesicle recipes online, so might give them a try... need to get some ice lolly moulds.
I wonder what it would be like if you made some chocolate pudding and froze it...  ??? [smiley=bulb.gif]

My task of checking out the flavour selection of our 2 local ice cream parlours has failed... the weather has been so good that the hordes (it's quite a popular place for a wee day trip, so in warm weather the seafront is MOBBED) and queues meant I couldn't get close enough to see.

I make keto chocolate pudding and freeze it. Just like Jello pudding pops. I also use it for chocolate pudding pie.

I use Silikomart ice cream moulds. I have the push pop molds and regular ice cream bar moulds. I buy them on Amazon.

Thanks Tami!
I might need to look for a different pudding recipe, though, as I just cant stomach the idea of hard boiled eggs... but good to know that frozen pudding is a thing!
