Citizenship: Retirees as referees?

Don't get me started on the UK determining certain people are "good enough" to sign off on a photograph.  Classism at its finest.....

I know, right? It's a bit ridiculous, but so was that pledge I had to make during the ceremony. My husband (who is British) was laughing so hard he made me laugh too. We're not super serious people.
