BRP expires September 5, application question

Ack sorry.

My current (spouse) visa expires the 5th and we are getting everything ready to get the renewal in order. I’ve applied for visas in country before when I was a student but I’m always well ahead of any deadline. Because we are still waiting on our accountant and I’m getting surgery Thursday, im a bit frazzled.

If we submit the application with everything scanned on the 4th, what happens if the hard copy of the passport and BRP are sent on Monday the 6th? Do those have to arrive by the expiration date of the BRP?

Do you get your BRP application appointment after you apply or before?

Can I submit my application without all of my documents and then upload them on the UKCVAS server in advance of the appointment?

(My first spouse visa was done right before the all digital swap and all my student visas were before that as well obviously, so it’s a bit confusing!)

You need to have hit “submit” on the online application by the 5th.

Your biometrics appointment will almost certainly be after your current BRP expires but that’s okay so long as you hit submit before the 5th.

You can have them scan all your paperwork at your biometrics so no real rush there. But they DO need to be dated prior to application date.

Thank you! Sorry for being so frazzled. Everything changed in between my last application and current, and we had a very quick turnaround because of when our business year ended, and some personal stuff to deal with this week (including having to isolate), so it's been pretty hectic.
