Fiancé visa - Decision letter?
« on: August 27, 2021, 05:50:12 PM »
Do you get a decision letter on a UK Fiancé Visa or do you just get your documents back with your visa inside your passport?

I received my passport back with my visa inside, the document I sent off back and nothing else.

I don’t have to wait for a decision letter or anything do I? I can just move ahead with my visa inside my passport only?

Thanks!

Congratulations !

No, for a fiancé visa, you just get the 6-month visa sticker in your passport and no decision letter.

You only get a decision letter if your visa is valid for more than 6 months and issued as a 30-day vignette and a BRP card (as the letter in that case gives instructions for how to pick up the BRP card once in the UK).

I can definitely corroborate this! We got that visa six and a half years ago now, and it was quite unnerving just to see that - no slip or letter or anything, just the visa in the passport, and the box of documents.

Congratulations :)

Thank you so much!

I appreciate your help, that’s such a relief.
