Lost Old Passport - Citizenship
« on: October 11, 2021, 10:21:47 PM »
Hi all,

My wife will be applying for citizenship soon, it seems. However, she (we) have lost her old passport. The stress of moving and having a second child have caused it to be missing,

Fortunately, proof that we were in the country three years prior will fall into her new passport as it was issued August 2018.

However, what are now our options regarding proof of residency? I believe most people just used their passport(s).

What else hinges on old passports? Do we need to provide a reason why it is missing etc?

She only needs to show residency for the last 3 years (2018-2021), which will be shown on her current passport… so you shouldn’t need to provide any other previous passports anyway.
