We're thinking of including a cover letter for my application. This is a rough draft of what it could be. Does anyone know if it seems alright or if it's even necessary?

You don't need the last paragraph about the partial statement, because many people send a partial statement for the last payslip deposit - it's pretty normal to do. So, they know what partial statements are and what they look like, and they are used to seeing them.

So, I would just go with:

To Whom It May Concern,

I’m writing this letter to provide further clarification about some details of my application. When I arrived in the UK on 23 June 2019 I attempted to have my passport and vignette stamped but was informed by the border agent that this was no longer the policy. I have included my boarding passes from my flights that brought me to the UK as further evidence of my arrival.

Additionally due to my tax code I ended up paying too much tax for part of 2021. On my July Payslip I was refunded by HMRC for my overpayments which is why my net pay that month was higher than my gross pay.

Yours Faithfully,

You may not actually need the first paragraph either, but there's no harm in including it for clarification.

I hope I run out of questions soon but I just thought of another.

So my most recent contract was emailed to me in April. It states that my new full time hours began on March 18th but it was emailed to me in April and below my signature is dated when I received the contract. Which was like a month after the date I started full time hours. Is that okay?

Also I put my signature on it digitally. Like I have my actual signature on my computer and I put that on it on my computer and emailed it back to my employer. Is that okay?

Yes and yes.

The contract is only optional so there is no guidance on required format for it and they may not even look at it.

Just include whatever you received from your company on whatever date it was sent to you.

Thanks for your reply.

So the copy I have that has my signature and the date I signed it on it. But the employer signature part is blank on my end. I'm assuming it was signed on their end when I emailed it back.

So assuming I do include the contract, should I ask them for their copy with hopefully both signatures? Or should I just print mine and ask them to sign it? Or should I just send mine that only has my signature?

Sorry if that is confusing at all.

Okay, you’re really overthinking it now.

Just include the copy you have and move on.

Okay that'll work, thank you. Yeah sorry. Nothing makes me overthink every little detail like these visas.

Don't worry! It's far better to overthink than to take any chances!  :)

Sorry just thought of a couple thing about documents if anyone has any ideas. When uploading correspondence is it okay if all of them are in their own file? Or if there are two pieces of mail for one period should they be in the same pdf?

For the initial visa we needed to print off proof of paying for IHS. Is that still the case or because it's online they will get confirmation on their end?

Does anyone know if it's an issue to get a pay rise after submitting the application?

I submitted my application on Sunday. Today my boss has said to me that they're giving everyone a pay rise because of inflation. And potentially I could be receiving another pay rise for my position change from October.

Could that cause any kind of an issue?

No, not an issue. The cut-off date for finances is your online application date, so a pay rise implemented after that date will have no bearing on the application.

They can only consider the lowest level of salary you were paid in the 6 months leading up to the application submission, so even if the pay rise had happened just before you submitted, it still wouldn’t have an effect on the visa.
