Have you been good boys and girls?

I’ve worn my mask, socially distanced (though may have slipped up a few times in the great outdoors), and gotten my third jab. Hopefully all that will stand me in good stead, Santa.

What is on everyone's wish list this year?

– N95 masks
Not good enough, lady

– Innertubes. They’re like socks for cyclists.
Be still my heart

– A better pair of wellies. Please put the elves on that pronto.
These were regifted to the squirrels

– More hay. Always more hay.

Is that more hay arriving?

– One of those ‘experience' gifts. I’ve never had one, but ballooning sounds nice.
OMG it’s attacking!

– Maybe a new prime minister? Not sure which. I’ll get back to you on that.
Let’s keep politics out of this – it’s the hair that’s the problem

Be really careful with those experience gifts, especially ballooning can be a big rip off.  It's weather dependent, so you book over and over a long time in advance and then it's cancelled becuase we live in the UK.  They sell a whole lot more rides than they give as eventually people just get sick of it.  I'd try contacting the balloon people directly.

Thanks, that's good advice. I wasn't really serious, though sometimes I think it'd be nice to have a bird's-eye view of the countryside around us. I also imagine floating over an African savanna and watching the lions frolic with the zebras and giraffes, one big happy family. Yep, that would be some trip.

Btw, that was a Virgin balloon which for some reason had to come down in what is basically our front yard.

Hi there Santa!!

We decided to do family Christmas gifting early again this year so end of November we took our son to London for a few days and then onto York.  The last time we were allowed to travel properly (2019) we took our son to Paris in November for us all to meet up with our daughter who flew in from California. We are planning to meet up with our daughter in Barcelona in mid-March so I guess my Christmas wish would be to have normal travel by then.
