Thanks Ben 1989!

Also I am now trying to upload my documents online now and confused what categories I upload my documents.

Can I just submit everything under mandatory?

I see the other categories are the following:
residence in the UK
Finances
Proof ofBusiness
Life Events (Does Marriage certificate go here?)
Medical info
Sponsors Employment
Proof of Identity/Travel history ( It requested my passport under mandatory so not sure what this means)
Educational

This all seems a bit confusing. I also paid for docucheck so not sure when that happens.

Any info anyone can provide would be helpful as my appointment is this coming Friday!

Many thanks,

Lori

I would probably go with (as for FLR and ILR):

Application Documents/Mandatory (whatever it’s called)
- Your US passport

Proof of Identity/Travel history
- Spouse’s UK passport
- Your BRP card

Other
- Marriage Certificate
- Referee forms
- Any other documents you are including

The other sections are not relevant to your application so you don’t need to use them.

Thanks Ks&24!

And hopefully last few questions!

1)For the Consent for the home office to verify the application document:

I signed part 1, but not clear if I need my spouse to sign part 2( consent for the home office to verify third party info) and part 3: Consent for the home office to verify information  from third party sponsor). I had my husband sign for last two just in case, but not sure.

2) it is very confusing that the document checklist asks me to check the box for proof of living  in the UK for 5 years if applying in own right or 3 years if applying as the spouse ( Do I need to provide more mail?)

3) also, do I need to upload the check list online?

Many many many thanks for all the help everyone!!!

I wasn’t aware that form was part of the citizenship application, since there is no sponsor for citizenship, plus you would not normally include any joint bills or bank statements for citizenship anyway.

If it is part of the application though:
- you sign part 1
- your spouse signs part 2
- no one signs part 3 as no third party sponsors are involved (third party would be someone other than the applicant or sponsor  who is providing financial support (but there is no financial support needed for citizenship) and is named on bills or bank statements that you are including)

No, your passport and BRP card are your proof of living in the UK for the last 3 years.

No.
