Flight Prices -Summer/Autumn 2005
« on: July 04, 2005, 05:15:05 PM »
I recall a thread where a lot of us are looking for flights towards the end of the summer/autumn and just wanted to ask again on one thread your best sites for fares and deals please?

Just found a good deal to NYC on Opodo, but I need to go a week earlier than this, so it's still looking like a one way with Air India for £168 + tax. Also considering any of those 3 day NYC breaks with the flight and hotel if that works out cheaper I am more than happy to spend a couple of days in the city before seeing the in-laws again ;)

New York City (LGA) (from LGW)
 26 Oct 2005 - 26 Feb 2006  US Airways  From   £ 257.00
(Includes tax & other charges)

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me! The lowest fares I could find were on Opodo, too. I'll be flying in September to Providence or Boston, so will probably end up paying more or less what you will. I actually haven't been checking online fares for the past couple of weeks, so I think I need to get going! £257 is about £200 less than anything I saw the last time I looked!

It's not a bad deal at all is it, the only reasons I can't take it are the date of availability and I really need JFK to be my POE for my Immigration stuff.

But it's about £200 less than I have seen everything for as well- I heard on the news the other day that flights are about to rise due to the increase in fuel prices, so fingers crossed it stays this reasonable - I wish I was going to R.I but my husband is more and more open to the idea :D

I'm still only finding fares in the £450+ range.  >:(  I've tried entering both Heathrow and Gatwick as my departure airport, I've tried both Providence and Boston as my destination, I've tried every day of the week ... but still nothing below £450.  >:( >:(

She certainly is, in quicksmart time she has managed to find a deal for us that shaves off well over £100, just weighing up the pros & cons.

But a big public THANK YOU :D

We're flying to Newark from Gatwick on 31 August with a return to Gatwick from Newark on 12 Sept and we're paying less than £300 each round trip! Continental!

When did you book these?

The earlier you book these the cheaper they will be....and you are going at the end of the holidays which will make them cheaper as well.
