Send a follow-up email to the local MP with an update RE what happened with UKVI earlier in the week (hadn't received any info from them that they had emailed UKVI so wanted to follow up on that as well). Sent the email later in the morning....Email miraculously just turned up with the follow:

:D :D :D :D

Closing in on the end of WD 15 since my appointment after paying Super Priority and getting MP involved and it's finally sorted!! Wasn't even in the mood to go out tonight and now I'm practically ready to run out of the office :D

What I've learned is that MP seems to be able to get wheels turning FAR quicker than phoning up the UKVI Customer Contact line! No mention of a refund yet, but I will definitely be in contact once I've had time to breathe and process.

Just out of curiosity, did you scan every page of your partners passport or did you only scan the photo page? I was wondering if sending only a copy of the photo page but not every page would be allowed.

Thanks,

Unless it’s changed with the new system, for in-country applications, it’s a requirement to send a copy of EVERY page, including blank pages.

Thanks again everyone! It means a lot to have so many people keeping me in their thoughts with this one :)

No, I didn't scan every page. I scanned the photo page and all the pages with stamps on it just in case they wanted to see stamps from trips I listed us having made and did the same with mine. Assumed that if there was an issue with this, the person checking my documents at my appointment would flag it up and sort it out but he said that was totally fine.

It used to specifically list *every* page but it no longer specifies this so we just did photo and stamps because we assumed it'd be flagged up at the appointment if there was a problem. Maybe we just got lucky not to get called out on it? Just seemed ridiculous to send every page of both of our passports when it no longer specified this because it'l be a LOT of pages we'd be uploading.

Do you think it will suffice to just scan the photo copy of my partner's passport but not the pages with stamps on under the new service?

I would scan all pages of the passport but, failing that, would certainly scan all pages with stamps to show travel, and, of course, bio pages.

I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I’m so happy for you. As you know, other than our partners, no one, including friends understand the stress and anxiety that goes with this visa journey
It’s so nice to be in a community like this
