Regarding things with plugs, when I was in the US deciding which items I would bring with me, I checked their voltage on the stamped label.  If it was dual-voltage, it came.  If not, it stayed.  But I was only worried about a few personal items that I packed into my suitcase, carry-on, and duffle bag.  I didn't have to move a whole house full of appliances.

I have an apple TV I want to bring with me.  I have an adaptor but I'm worried about the voltage damaging the apple TV.... anyone have an experience with this??

I was going to have you look at your device and find the information I mentioned above, but since I don't have any experience with Apple TV, maybe an official Apple thread specific to your query is more appropriate.  I don't want to give you bad information and destroy your things!

Fritos and Pepto Bismol. There’s no good substitute for either!

You can buy both Pepto Bismol liquid and tablets in U.K. pharmacies (it’s kept behind the counter).

Oh ye of little faith!
Tesco sells Old El Paso Tortilla Strips in a bright yellow bag, and they are EXACTLY like Fritos.  This has been tried and tested by UKY forum members!  ;D
