We are putting in for DH spousal visa next month and we don't have any savings at all.
We both live in USA and will be going back with just what our suitcases can hold. We do however have a lease for a house that we can move into first week in August and hubby has a letter with a job offer!
I dont have a job offer, but I am signed on with a temping agency and I know I will be able to find work quite easy.
I too am concered over the money issue as we don't a have any! We are selling all that we have here, which is not that much really, so will probably just cover the cost of the spousal visa, 2 plane tickets and enough for a months rent and security!
I do however have an insurance policy that is due to mature 6th August with approx 20,000 UK pounds - but I'm not relying on that to get the spousal visa!
We do not have any children, both of us being of mature age <cough>, and will have been married for 14 months by the time we apply for the visa.
It's a great worry to me as well, because I want to get the visa done and dusted before I myself go back end of June - hubby will be following hopefully end of July!
I really don't want the added worry of having to put in for the visa when I get to UK, I just want to concentrate on getting a job, a car and stuff for the house!
I keep telling myself that I'm sure its going to be okay, but I know until we get that visa in our hands, I wont breath properly again
